I love this shot – Calliope using the scratcher and Momos back there on the Churu desk, checking to see if she’s missing anything.

Bao wrestling with the pie plate, and Calliope giving me the eyes of This Boy Ain’t Right.

And Bao trying to get UNDER the pie plate, while Khinkali (over under the bed) is looking at him like “What are you DOING?”

Bao says “Gimme that phone, lady, I needs to make a call!”

I make a comfy napping spot, according to Calliope and Bao.

Pierogi approves of this tunnel.

Momos says “Whatcha doin’ down there, lady?”

Khinkali with her toeses in the air.

Tortellini prepares to sharpen her claws.
The news from the weekend is that Momos is officially adoption pending, going locally. She’ll have a big sister named Bean, who looks very much like a grown up version of Momos. I think Momos will like not being in the middle of a big crowd of kittens. She likes her siblings well enough, but they can be a bit MUCH when they’re all trying to get the Churu or feather teaser or whatever. She’s always on the edge of the crowd rather than vying for center.
Wonton, Pierogi and Tortellini are all still available. (Sometimes this happens where it just takes a bit longer for their people to come along. I think people are busy with the end of school, graduations, summer plans, and all that. Their people will show up soon enough, I think.)
I’ve felt Calliope’s kittens moving for the last few days, which happens in the last 1-2 weeks of pregnancy. I’ve moved my office around a bit so that if she suddenly goes into labor I can move her in there. I considered moving her over the weekend, but she really seems to enjoy being around the Dumplings and I always worry about pregnant cats getting bored, so I’ll leave her where she is for now. (Her appetite continues to be voracious. In the last day or two before going into labor a pregnant cat’s appetite will often drop off drastically. It doesn’t ALWAYS happen – Canasta ate really well right up to labor, and in fact wanted canned food when she was between birthing kittens – but it’s worth keeping an eye on.)

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr/ Bluesky/Threads) this weekend.

Momos was cleaning that brown tabby patch on her belly, and paused to see what I was doing. (Please also admire: the orange tabby patch on her right lower leg/foot!)

Line ’em up! From left: Pierogi, Bao, Tortellini, Momos, Khinkali & Wonton. Everyone’s going for their spay/neuters next Tuesday. A few days after that, Bao & Khinkali (who are adoption pending together) will go home. There are a couple of applications on Momos, and I’m waiting to hear if any have been approved. As of the second I am typing this, Wonton, Tortellini and Pierogi are still available!

Have I mentioned that Magoo (former foster Reverb) really likes his big brothers? They think he’s okay, too!

“Don’t look, Ethel!” (Bao & Pierogi)

The kittens are wearing their crazypants today (every day)!

Calliope isn’t quite a catermelon yet, she’s more potato shaped right now. A stuffed baked potato!
YouTube link
Kitten Fight Club. Pierogi and Bao get INTO it, there’s a little involvement from Tortellini, Calliope wants NONE of this nonsense, and you get a look at who’s snoozing in my lap.

Good night innernets. (Tortellini & Pierogi)

Need someone to listen to your problems? Wonton’s your guy! 🐾
(Wonton’s still available for adoption! Email Forgotten Felines at INFO (at) FFHSV.ORG to inquire, or fill out an application here )

Bao says “SOMEONE has been biting and ripping this box. I don’t know WHO would do such a thing, but I will not rest until I find the culprit!”
YouTube link
The kittens had a crazypants morning (and will have, I am sure, a crazypants afternoon, followed by a crazypants evening. All crazypants, all the time!)

I took the ladder into the kitten room to hang a suncatcher in the window, and my assistants were IMMEDIATELY ready to assist. They are so very helpful, I don’t know how on earth I’d ever get anything done without their help.

Momos catches a rat (toy) and starts somethin’ with… well, anyone who wanders by! (That’s Calliope & Khinkali you hear purring in my lap)

Momos and Calliope are hanging out gossiping. (And yes, they DO look like they could be mother and daughter!)

Good night innernets. (Pierogi)
(Pierogi is still available for adoption; email Forgotten Felines at INFO (at) FFHSV.ORG to inquire, or fill out an application here )

Just a Pierogi in a hammock washin’ his slappin’ paw and wondering where his people are. (He continues to be available for adoption.)

Tortellini’s keeping an eye on me (’cause someone’s gotta!) (She continues to be available for adoption.)

Spend one million dollars on various toys, and the kittens end up fascinated by the (free) cardboard tube from a roll of paper towels? Yep, sounds about right!

It’s Sunday afternoon, Calliope wants to take a nap on me, and so I’ll be here if anyone needs me. (But don’t need me, because I’m taking a nap, too.)(All the kittens are on/near me, too, except for Pierogi who is about 5 feet away on the nearest cat tree.)

Wonton is an excellent snake hunter. I love it when he drags it around the room.

Wonton’s making himself comfy whilst waiting for his people, whoever and wherever they are, to make themselves known. (Wonton continues to be available for adoption.)

One minute of the kittens playing!

Good night innernets. (Bao, Momos and Khinkali, who is all “TRYIN’ TO SLEEP HERE, LADY.”)

Delighted to see the confirmation that Momos is now Adoption Pending – hope that the Little Calico Girl and the Big Calico Girl will be very happy together ! And I absolutely loved the video from Friday of Charlie giving sweet Magoo a very extensive baff – it is such a joy that the gentle boy has been made so welcome and is so clearly loved by both his Big Bruvs. An adoption made in heaven!
Hi Robyn! Off topic….but, have you given any kinds of supplements to your FIV+ cats? Our boy Franklin seems to always have a sniffy/crusty nose. I give him an immunity support supplement every day, but I’m wondering if I should add something else. TIA!!!
I actually don’t give supplements to them. I’ve used (and liked) Imuquin in the past with fosters, but they’ve totally changed the formula, and it doesn’t seem to work as well. Part of the problem is that Khal is VERY picky and I can’t get him to eat/take anything he doesn’t want to; I think he would benefit from an Omega-3 supplement, but he just won’t go for it.
Thanks for the info about Imuquin. Maybe I’ll look into Omega-3
I so love the nap collective you have. I think that’s my favorite way to sleep (not just nap).
Yes, I’m glad I was not the only one that immediately started humming the theme to “Three’s Company” when you posted the kittens heads popping out of the elevated kitten box. I have done my own study consisting of a very small cohort(me) and I have proven that viewing kittens in the early morning hours will lower your cortisol and guarantee that you day will go purr-fectly.
I see no issues at all with this study’s set up (N=1), subject matter, and conclusion!! 😀
That picture of Wonton’s bottom half is adorable! Also, where’d you get that scratcher with the cherries and hearts???
I got that at HomeGoods. HomeGoods and TJ Maxx are the best places to find those types of scratchers, they’re usually quite a bit cheaper than at Petsmart or Petco.
It’s so funny how they get under the pie plates! I don’t remember other litters doing that.
These guys are TALENTED! 🙂
I wouldn’t have predicted that I needed to see Charlie in a party hat today, but — I absolutely DID!!
Love that shot of Bao They are all adorable though.
I spy Calliope’s spigots!!! Won’t be too much longer for her brood to arrive.
Charlie rockin’ the party hat!! LOL Who knew he was such a frat party boy!!
I’m glad Magoo continues to do well.
The foster room would be more fun for the future mama than being isolated, although once her own kittens come, it will probably change.
