Calliope showed up stray at a local area feral colony, and was so friendly that “trapping” her was just a matter of picking her up and putting her in a carrier. She joined another foster for a few days, and then came to us on May 6, 2026.
DOB: 4/27/2023
She was believed to be pregnant, and a visit to the vet confirmed that. As of the time of this writing (May 31st), she’s due pretty much any time. For now, she’s joined the Dumpling Gang in the foster room and is being very sweet with them.
On June 13th & 14th, Calliope’s kittens were born! They are…
Daphne. Girl. Black and white tuxie.
Cassandra. Girl. Calico.
Pandora. Girl. Calico.
Zephyr. Boy. Orange and white tabby.
Zeus. Boy. Black and white tuxie.
Also born was Apollo, an orange and white tabby, who unfortunately passed away at just a few hours old. (I don’t have any good pictures of him, but he looked like a much smaller version of Zephyr.)
