Date of birth: June 14, 2026.
We’ve had Pete since he was a newborn – he was born in our foster room to mama Calliope! His foster name was Zephyr.
When Pete (then Zephyr) was a few weeks old, we started talking about adopting him. Magoo needed a friend closer to his own age, and after Newt‘s passing in 2024, we’d been without an orange cat. Pete/Zephyr seemed like the perfect solution, and the decision to adopt him AND his brother Smitty (formerly Zeus) was made.
At the time I’m writing this, Pete is just over 3 months old, so while I can tell you that he’s a pretty standard-issue kitten who is quintessentially orange to the core, I have yet to learn who he’ll grow to be. (If you’re reading this in 2027 or later, feel free to poke me to update this page!)
