We’ve had Smitty since he was a newborn – he was born in our foster room to mama Calliope! His foster name was Zeus.
When Smitty (then Zeus) was a few weeks old, we started talking about adopting his brother, Pete. Magoo needed a friend closer to his own age, and after Newt‘s passing in 2024, we’d been without an orange cat. Once we decided to adopt Pete, I insisted that we adopt Smitty as well, and we agreed. (The hardest part about this decision was deciding on names for them that we both agreed on!)
At the time I’m writing this, Smitty is just over 3 months old, so while I can tell you that he’s a super sweet, snuggly boy who just melts into you when you pick him up, I have yet to know who he’s going to turn out to be.
