I dropped Esmerelda off at the vet yesterday morning for her spay. This vet (which is a different vet than the one who did the kittens) opts to keep cats overnight post-spay/neuter, so I assumed I’d be picking her up this morning. But surprise! They called in the early afternoon to let me know that they’d found a tattoo that indicated she’d already been spayed. (It was apparently higher than Michelle expected, which is why we didn’t see it Tuesday.) I went and picked her up and brought her home, and she was pretty happy to eat a big lunch and get some relaxing in.
She had her rabies shot while she was at the vet yesterday, she got her microchip and FVRCP vaccination Tuesday. The vet examined her and said she’s in good shape – a little dirt in her ears, so they cleaned her ears before sending her home. Now she doesn’t need anything else done – she gets to just hang out here with us ’til it’s time to go home in a couple of weeks.
Oh, did I not mention? Esmerelda is adoption pending! She’ll be with us a couple more weeks before she heads home. I’m thrilled for her!

The Tiny Dancers are 1 week old! We’ve got one (1) open eyeball so far, on Mambo, but I can tell that the other eyeballs are loosening, and we’re going to have an eyeballpalooza here soon enough. Here’s a screenshot of their weight chart – as you can see, they’re gaining well. (Yes, Sashay is smaller than the others, but sometimes that’s how it is. She’s gaining every day, she can hiss like nobody’s business. I’m not worried about her. She’ll either catch up or remain tiny and feisty. We’ll see!)
Patsy says “NO, you cannot see my little shaved belly. You can’t handle that kinda CUTE!”

Patsy takes a leap, and then eventually, after much coaxing and many tossed toys, Nolan takes a leap too. (This video was made before they went for their spay & neuter yesterday. I’m not encouraging them to leap about so soon after their surgery!)

Patsy is VERY flirty with Uncle Charlie. She likes that he gives her baths, and she REALLY likes to snuffle around in his belly fur. (Uncle Charlie does not much care for the belly fur snuffling, though.)

Esmerelda is all “Excuse me, lady, I’m tryin’ to watch my stories.”
I dropped her off at the vet this morning for her spay. She’ll spend the night (it’s a different vet than the mobile vet who did the kittens’ spay/neuters) and I’ll pick her up tomorrow morning. I’m sure she’ll be glad to have that experience behind her!
I was in the laundry room and turned around to see Nolan and Owen all “We’re here to snoopervise!”

I adore Nolan’s floofy feet.
These kittens seem to interact with the permanent residents more than e any of the other litters. Well, Charlie and Khal. Especially patsy. It’s so cute. Have they met Rocco? Of course we know Alice doesn’t like any of them.
They do interact with them a lot – I think it’s because they got the run of the house earlier than fosters usually do (because I needed to move them out of the foster room.) The fact that the kittens LOOOVE the adults probably helps, too. I imagine it’s hard to hate a kitten who thinks you’re super awesome and amazing and act like they’re looking at a rock star every time you come near! (I mean, Alice still manages not to like them, so it is POSSIBLE I guess.)
They’ve seen Rocco a few times, but having all three of them run over to check him out makes him a little nervous, so he heads for the garage door a little faster than usual!
Hooray for Esmerelda’s people showing up! Lucky them!
