Zephyr’s eyes are already lightening and starting to change color. The blue is much lighter, and there’s some gold coming in around his pupils. (I do not, for the record, to expect any of these kittens to keep their blue eyes.)

Pandora’s eyes are still that gorgeous dark blue.

Cassandra says “Hmm. Nope, not going out there.”

“No thank you,” say (from left) Zeus, Zephyr, Cassandra and Daphne. (Pandora was in my lap.)

“Stop trying to lead my kids astray, lady,” says Calliope. “They’re FINE in the crate.”

“Look, lady!” says Cassandra. “I gots toes!” Indeed you do.

The kittens (and Uncle Magoo.) Think there’s a feather teaser up there?

Tortellini takes a leap (and yes, she stuck the landing.)

I love Tortellini’s annoyed face at having to share her scratcher with Uncle Magoo.

Uncle Magoo said “I remember this game!”

Charlie and Magoo, grooming each other. Awww!

It always leads to the ol’ chomperoo, though.

I love how Zeus turned around to look at me. “I sees you, lady.”

Throw Back Thursday: A year ago I was posting about Bash (left) and Margarita being available for adoption, and this reminds me that I need to get out the giant glasses for upcoming photo opportunities.

Throw Back Thursday: This video of Sebastian (Bash) from a year ago, having his last bottle, is the SWEETEST. He was 10 weeks old before he decided he was done with the bottle, but when he was done, he was DONE. I’m glad I happened to catch it on video.

Whoever guessed Daphne was going to be the first one out of the crate, please come claim your bragging rights! She came out, looked around, said “Meh” and went right back in. But now we know they can come out when they want to!

First kitten out of the crate – but not for long! Came out, said “What a dump!” and stomped back in.

Pierogi and Wonton hanging out with (or at least NEAR) Uncle Charlie.

Good night innernets. (Zephyr, Zeus and Daphne.)

I have to admit to being surprised the Dumplings are still with you. Will they be going to Petsmart soon or are they going to become permanent residents? They all seem to get along so well together. It’s hard to believe no-one has adopted any of them yet!
There’s no Petsmart for them to go to anymore – FF lost the Petsmart location that they would have gone to. They will not be becoming permanent residents – I have no interest in doubling my permanent resident population. 🙂
Oh, no–what happened to the Petsmart? Did that location actually close up shop altogether, or is it more of a policy change thing? (I’m not on social media, so if that info was posted to FB or something, I’m unaware.) Hopefully FF can eventually find another partner to get their adoptable cats more public exposure…
I can’t go into details (mostly because I don’t know them all), but there’s an issue with the store manager at that particular location. It’s been… a few months, I think? Since he asked FF to leave (with just a few days’ notice), and he’s been unable to find another area rescue willing to work with him to take the space, so it’s remained empty. I’d think Petsmart corporate would take notice that he can’t seem to find someone willing to take the space.
I hope you keep the dumplings as Magoo has someone his own size to play with after losing his brother Milo.
Yes! That’s a great idea Linda and I’m sure Magoo would agree!
That little rascal Daphne. Let me get this straight: she’s the smallest (but apparently the bravest)comes out of the crate first, touching all her toes outside, making it legit but then quickly heads back in. Well someone will be richer today, but it wont be me. I chose Pandora. Way to go Daphne. You really snookered me this time.
Nice jump Uncle Magoo!
One venture out of the crate will lead to more. It’s going to be a room full of zoomies soon.
It’s great to see the older ones getting along so well, I just hope they get adopted soon.
I want the dumplings to be adopted so bad, but as much as I hate to admit it, I also still don’t think it should be me (life/mental health things mean they are better off in a more guaranteed stable environment). However if there is an interested adopter out there who lives within a 12ish hour drive of Alabama then I can help with that! I’d like to think that’s the best way I can help these kitties, so if the distance is the main issue then i can help! Though now that I think about it, that may not work with the whole you must come to complete the adoption. But I so want to help in the best way that I can, so if anyone has thoughts plz let me know!
