Kittens make comfy pillows, if you were curious.

Zephyr really stands out against his darker siblings, doesn’t he?

Zeus is giving Calliope the lowdown on the gossip from the milk bar (and I don’t think Calliope approves).

Daphne is a little bitty handful.

I made a kitten pie (my favorite!) while Calliope was eating so I could switch out the soiled bedding for clean.

But then they started complaining, and Calliope said “I’ll take THAT.”

I love that little SMIRK on her face.
Calliope, for the record, is fine with me handling her kittens. She just doesn’t like it when they get too shrieky.
I put a dab of green (nontoxic!) paint on Zeus’s left ear and a dab of pink on Daphne’s right ear, and this morning when I walked in, it was mostly gone from both of them. It had either flaked off (though I didn’t see it anywhere) or Calliope had groomed it off. That’s okay, though – I’m starting to be able to tell them apart. Zeus has fur that is more shiny with a little bit of curl to it, and Daphne’s is fluffier.
I do not, by the way, know if any of these kittens are going to have long fur. At this age, they always look like they have the potential to get floofy, and most of the time they end up with short fur. Time will tell what we’ve got.
(And yes, I agree that Pandora is a calico, not a tortie. In fact, let’s go ahead and call Pandora and Cassandra both calicos, shall we?)

I don’t think I’ve mentioned it before, but I’m certain Pierogi is gonna be a BIG guy. I haven’t weighed the Dumplings recently (once they’re this age I don’t really weigh them all that often BECAUSE THEY’RE USUALLY OUT OF HERE BY NOW), but I’m going to do that and see what the size difference is.

Tortellini enjoys some sunshine.

Wonton almost had a thought, but it veered before it got to him, and he watched it float away.

Those are the eyes of “OMG IS IT CHURU TIME?!”

In what has become an annual event, I wildly overplanted this raised bed and the flowers are very crowded. I COULD thin out the flowers, but that’s no fun. Magoo enjoys hanging out in the jungle (and the pollinators do too!)
(Zinnias and Cosmos are cat safe.)

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr/ Bluesky/Threads) yesterday.

Good morning from the milk bar! (Kittens, from left: Pandora, Daphne, Cassandra, Zephyr & Zeus)

The manager (Tortellini) is off at a meeting, so these little slackers (Wonton on the top, Pierogi inside) are sleeping on the job.

Calliope returns to the crate after eating, to a chorus of kittens greeting her. (That sputter/cough she does about 50 seconds in is because she’d just started pottying a kitten and I suspect the output was faster than she’d expected.)

Pierogi gets a bath (and a tussle) from Tortellini.

Tortellini’s getting prettier by the day, I swear. (And did I mention how SOFT she is? So soft!)

Good night innernets. (Pandora)

LOL
Also, Zephyr totally has white go-faster stripes on his face doesn’t he!
