Slapjack’s all “Hey, Uncle Charlie! Whereya going?”
Uncle Charlie, doing his favorite thing: giving the Love Eyes to the feather teasers.
“Uncle Charlie is really COOL,” Slapjack has realized.
Uno agrees.
Later, Uncle Archie went stomping across the kitten room while Pinochle, Uno and Rummy watched from atop the cat tree.
“Uncle Archie’s kinda scary.”
Uncle Archie growled at Slapjack, who put on his floof suit real quick.
Whist watched Uncle Archie continue across the room. She thinks he’s pretty fabulous.

I know I never mention the permanent residents’ birthdays (mostly because we don’t do anything out of the ordinary for their birthdays because EVERY DAY IN THIS HOUSEHOLD IS BIRTHDAY LEVEL PAMPERING FOR THOSE DANG CATS, AMIRIGHT?), but this particular date stuck in my mind, so let me just say:

Oops, yep. It’s fixed! It feels AGGRESSIVELY like a Tuesday to me, though. 🙂
That sometimes happens to me when there’s a Monday holiday like Memorial Day or Labor Day. Because Monday “didn’t happen”, Wednesday seems like Tuesday.
Or something.
Charlie has just been adorable from day one.

Cat hair in my eyeballs makes them itchy
Cat hair in my nostrils makes me sneeze

Cat hair in my life makes me so pleased.

(Yes, I know the last line is a bit week, but not that many things rhyme with sneeze and breeze didn’t fit.)

How big is Charlie these days? He looks pretty long and tall compared to the other permanent residents.
He weighed 12 pounds, 4 ounces at the end of April. I think he’s going to be a biiiig boy when he’s done growing!
Tell us, please, about the wall-mounted tubes holding the feather teasers?
I actually wrote about them in March of 2020, in this post. Basically: shipping tubes cut in half and affixed to the wall with Command strips. They work AMAZINGLY well!

(Fun Fact! I have a new bed frame, and it’s a few inches higher than His Highness is willing to jump, so at bedtime, he’ll sit by my bed as I’m reading and passive-aggressively knock over books I have stacked next to my bed and stare up at me, and wait until I PICK HIS ASS UP AND PLACE HIM ON THE BED. I ask you – who is the bigger fool here – Malcolm for succumbing to laziness, or me, for being manipulated!?!)
