Yesterday, for what felt like the first time in a billion years, the sun shone. And what’s even better is that we’re supposed to have sunny days through Thursday and even a little sun on Friday!
I’d like to say that Mimosa was as excited about the sunshine as I was, but she was mostly here for the neck scritches.
The sun shone upon her belly just so.
“Get to scritchin’, lady.”

NOPE. (Nope as to kittens, that is. YEP as to breakfast.) I, personally, think a lovely, sunny day like today (after days and days and days of rain) would be the PERFECT time to have kittens, don’t you? (Mimosa cares not for my talk of kittens.)
I’m watching Mimosa, she’s watching me, and meanwhile THERE ARE NO KITTENS.

Sorry about that weird first section – I was rubbing her neck (which is why she was moving like that) and holding the phone at an awkward angle. I think you can still see lots of belly movement, though! (At the end, Fred was coming in the door, and Mimosa got up to greet him.)

Mimosa is a great kneader and purrer, and such a sweet, chill girl! I find the sound of her purring so relaxing. I wonder if a recording of cat purring would help insomniacs get to sleep?
