Cassandra is a busy girl. Here she is at the front of the crate, checking out the milk bar.

And then at the back of the crate, considering the wall of the crate.

Giving Zephyr a once-over. “Yep! That’s my brudder.”

Zephyr woke up and said “What’s going on?”

Zeus keeps an eye on me. (Someone’s gotta!)

Daphne, also keeping an eye on me.

Pandora in the back of the crate, also keeping an eye on me.

And we’re back to Cassandra and those bright eyes.
As of yet, no one’s shown much interest in leaving the crate. I think this bunch might wait ’til they’re 3+ weeks old to see what the rest of the room has to offer. (Of course, having said that I’m sure that now I’ll walk into the foster room and find kittens everywhere!)

Tortellini fell asleep waiting for her hummingbird friend to show up.

My assistant is waiting to assist (ie: blocking my keyboard.)

Pierogi says “Whatcha doin’, Uncle Charlie?”

Charlie says “Minding my own business, kid.” (I waited for Pierogi to climb into the hammock with Charlie, but Pierogi knew his limits – THIS time.)

PS: “Does Magoo have any nicknames?” you might be asking. Of course! Fred calls him “Gooby” (leading me to occasionally sing “Gooby Dooby Doo, where are you? It’s time to have a snack, now.”) and I call him “Magoodle Doodle Doo.”

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr/ Bluesky/Threads) yesterday.

Calliope gave Daphne and Cassandra baths, and then thought “Hey. I could use a bath myself!”

Tortellini’s getting some good bird-watching in.

Zeus and (eventually) Zephyr at the milk bar, and the other kittens are rolling around and feelin’ gooood.

Line ’em up! From left: Zephyr, Cassandra, Zeus, Daphne and Pandora.

Tortellini does her best Tater imitation (ie, chases some dust in the air), and then watches Uncle Magoo play with the track toy before taking a swipe at it herself.

I picked up the water bowl to clean and refill it, and all of a sudden Pierogi was in the tray where the water bowl usually resides. “I fit perfectly!” he said.

Good night innernets. (Zeus, using Zephyr’s foot as a pillow.)

2006: No entry.
2005: For the most part Mister Boogers left the kittens alone, though Oy kept going over and sniffing at him, and he could hardly stand it, and he would growl and raise his paw to smack that kitten across the room, but then I would say “Mis. Ter. Boog. Ers.” in my Mean Lady voice, and he’d put his paw back down and walk away.

Has Uncle Charle met his match with these three?
Under your watchful eye, I was happy to hear you are still supplementing the kittens! Calliope doesn’t mind either! Little full bellies make Happy Kittens!
LOL! Charlie’s face is that last photo just cracks me up!
