In case you missed it on social media yesterday, we have another adoption pending.

Clyde and Cutey are adoption pending – TOGETHER.

They’ll still be with us a bit longer, though – they’re a bit too small for their spay/neuter surgeries, so we’re pushing that back a few weeks.

Lola, Bugs, Benjamin and Honey will head off for their surgeries today, and Cutey and Clyde will stay here and keep Bunny company (Bunny has already been spayed.) I expect there to be no issues at all with their spays and neuters, and by tonight they’ll be racing around like usual.

This leaves Bugs and Lola available still, as well as Bunny. We’re aiming to adopt Bugs and Lola out as a pair, so are holding out for that. There’ve been inquiries about Lola, but none at all about Bugs, which I don’t get at all because he’s a sweet little goober. I’m sure their people will be along soon enough… hopefully. (If that’s you, you can email Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at info (at) ffhsv.org )

“What, lady?” Bunny’s neck wound is looking great – she has a couple of small scabs but isn’t scratching at it any more, so she’s out of the collar now, which makes her (and me!) a whole lot happier.

Bugs always looks so AMUSED.

Lola and Honey have a snuggle.

“Mama wants a minute alone, Lola.”

Yesterday was sheet-changing day at Love & Hisses headquarters, and Clyde was very very helpful.

As was Benjamin.

“I yam very helpful!” Indeed you are, Benjamin Bunny.

The other night, when Fred was leaving the kitten room at bed time, a couple of the kittens wanted to come out with him. So he let Lola out… and then she met Uncle Archie.

She donned her stranger danger suit and just stood there, staring at him.

Uncle Archie is a good guy, though. When the kittens get all floofy and growly, he just looks at them. Behavior he’d never tolerate from an adult cat he just shrugs off when it comes from a kitten.

Last night Lola wanted out again and so did Benjamin. I wish I’d gotten video of it, because Benjamin walked right past Uncle Archie without noticing him, and walked past him again, and then he finally saw him.

“That’s Uncle Archie, and he’s terrifying.”

I keep saying that I need to bring the kittens downstairs to meet the permanent residents, but I keep… not. (Life gets in the way, y’know.)

Seriously, Khal. If only we could find a way for you to relax. (That shaved spot on his front left leg is from a dental he had a couple of weeks ago.)

2019: Flaunt ’em while you’ve got ’em!
2018: My GOODNESS you’re a suspicious bunch, demanding to know why I was emptying out my foster room.
2017: The princess does not work for her food, THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
2016: “Look at my foot, innernets. LOOK AT IT.”
2015: Playing with Da Bird. Naturally Stefan had to get involved.
2014: Why do they have to grow up? Whyyyyy?
2013: I think we can all tell exactly what move Scorch is considering here.
2012: No entry.
2011: Finnegan’s face is cracking me up. “THIS ARE MY SPOT YOU GO AWAY.”
2010: Bolitar, at home wherever he happens to land.
2009: Saying goodbye to Mister Boogers.
2008: Poor little monsters, they have no idea what’s coming!
2007: No entry.
2006: No entry.
2005: For the most part Mister Boogers left the kittens alone, though Oy kept going over and sniffing at him, and he could hardly stand it, and he would growl and raise his paw to smack that kitten across the room, but then I would say “Mis. Ter. Boog. Ers.” in my Mean Lady voice, and he’d put his paw back down and walk away.

  1. Yay for Clyde and Cutie! Such a sweet duo, with a touch of tortie magic. I’m sure their new family can’t wait to have them home, but I’m glad we’ll be seeing them a little while longer here – and will hope for updates and/or their own social media account. Now, Lola and Bugs, it’s time for your family to find you!

    • Yes, definitely need updates on Clyde and Cutie. They were my *picks from this litter. And, I’m so glad they’re going together.

*Every litter, I pick out which kittens/moms will be mine, if I didn’t live on the other side of the country. This time, I also want Bunny. How could anyone not adore that face!

  2. That picture of Khal! I just want to paint him like one of my French cats.

  3. Yay for adoptions! They will all soon be lounging in their forever homes.

Lol Uncle Archie… How he can be “terrifying” to anything beyond a dishtowel is funny. Foster kittens meeting the Uncles (and Aunt…one day, a girl can dream) has
to be one of my favourite parts of their stay at Shady Cove (Crooked Acres 2.0?)

  4. lola and bugs would have been my first choice as a pair out of this litter, although they are all precious. Too bad I live 800 miles away.

  5. My six fosters got fixed today also. Hard to believe based on how they run around when they get home!
