Answers to recent questions that have been widely asked:
1. Are Reverb and Rum a bonded pair? I don’t think so – most of the time they’re nowhere near each other, you just see so many pictures of them together because when I see them snuggling I make sure to take a picture because it’s so CUTE. They are buddies and they get along well with each other (and with Ollie and Kate), I just don’t consider them a bonded pair.
2. Are you keeping Ollie and Kate until her monitoring time is up. I believe so – they both need time to chill out and relax, and he needs to get over his upper respiratory infection AND since Rum and Reverb are here and I can’t put a pregnant cat or mother and kittens in there anyway, there’s no rush for them to go anywhere else.
3. Will you be keeping Rum and Reverb through their post-treatment monitoring time? I believe so.
4. REVERB/RUM/OLLIE/KATE SHOULD BE PERMANENT RESIDENTS. No.
5. Will you be getting a pregnant cat or mother and kittens to keep elsewhere in the house? No. My office isn’t set up for fostering any more – it’s my actual office and is taken up by a desk and all sorts of office paraphernalia. I don’t have anywhere else to keep a mother and kittens long-term, and I’d never put a pregnant cat/mother with kittens in the foster room with strange cats, even if I didn’t have the upper respiratory germs floating around in there.
6. There needs to be a Rumdangle calendar! I totally agree, and there will be a Rumdangle calendar for 2027. (This is why I keep introducing new boxes, baskets and bowls into the foster room – so that I don’t end up having to use 12 variations of the same picture.)
Speaking of calendars, I have removed the links to the 2026 calendars that were in the sidebar, but if you suddenly have a need to get one, you can go to the Zazzle store and find them there. I’ve removed the links from the sidebar, but calendars will be available for purchase in the store until sometime in October, when the calendars for next year will go up.

This wall shelf is Ollie’s favorite place to hang out and keep an eye on things.

He’s very interested in the mirrors, too.

Reverb always sits so neatly with his tail to one side.

Checking out the scratcher and the cat tree and keeping an eye on Ollie (’cause someone’s gotta!)

Kate says “This petting stuff isn’t SO bad.”

Most mornings lately when I wake up, Charlie is in this scratcher in the corner of my bedroom.

The difference in size and color between Ollie’s left and right eyes is certainly something to behold. (His right eye was injured when he was younger, and the damage is likely permanent – his eye is also a bit cloudy, but it doesn’t bother him at all.) (Also, please excuse the big ol’ booger in his nose. We don’t yet have the sort of relationship where he’ll allow me to pick his nose.)

Rum purring, Reverb sniffing, and Ollie snoring. (Ollie is getting over an upper respiratory infection and will hopefully not snore quite so loud in the future!)

Rum’s having a snoozy Rumdangle.

🎉 Former foster Rupert (formerly Richie) and his big brother Angus are MOST intrigued by the new tablecloth! 🙃 (Thanks, Sharon!)

🎉 Former foster Phoebe (formerly Reese) in her favorite nap spot – and showing off her spiral tunnel. (That is definitely her color!) Thanks Kaci!

Good night innernets. (Kate (top) and Ollie)
