It never seems to happen, but what do you do if the kittens/mum don’t get adopted straight away? Do they go to another foster?

Mary said: Sometimes they go to Petsmart, a pet shop that helps with adoptions. Volunteers from the rescue go in and look after them while they’re there.
I can’t remember the last time that happened for Robyn’s babies or mamas but it has happened a few times since I started following, 2020, I think.

Mary is right – if they don’t get adopted from here, they go to Petsmart for a while. If they still don’t get adopted, they’ll get a break, and then go back.

I’ve been VERY lucky in that none of my fosters have needed to go to Petsmart in over two years (Daisy, Nick and Jay went to Petsmart in 2023 and were adopted from there.)

(Later) Oops, I woke up this morning realizing I was wrong – Crumpet went to Petsmart last year. She was adopted from there – a Mother’s Day present for the lovely lady who saw her and fell in love with her – and so it’s been about a year and a half rather than two years.

There’s been a sudden flurry of interest in whether Waffle is available for adoption. He is NOT. He and his sisters are just here for while their family is out of town.

“What you mean people have been asking about WAFFLE. What about ME?!” (Maple, also not available.)

Mocha, also not available.

“Hmph.” (Muffin, also not available.)

“I can’t help it if I’m FABULOUS. Of course they all want ME.” (Not available.)

The kittens were very, VERY boingy last night, and I got a bunch of action shots!

Please note that all four of Sashay’s feet are off the floor.

Mambo really caught some air on this one!

I don’t know – maybe Tango’s eyes ARE going to stay blue. Wouldn’t that be cool?

ChaCha was sitting in my lap getting some love and attention, and Tango climbed up to see what was going on. When he saw the milk bar RIGHT THERE, he said “Don’t mind if I do!” and started nursing. ChaCha put up with it for a VERY short amount of time, as you’ll see, and Tango said “What happened?”

After they eat lunch, the kittens go NUTS running around, jumping and playing. (After *I* eat lunch, I need a nap.)

I don’t know what they’re up to, but Flamenco and Tango certainly look GUILTY.

ChaCha was in the top of the cat tree, having a moment to herself, and along came Tango (front) and Mambo, and OH was she annoyed. She was like “I’m OUTTA here!”
