If you didn’t see it on social media yesterday, Daisy was adopted and went home yesterday! She went locally, and so I was able to pick her up from Petsmart and deliver her to her new home. She’s the only pet (the queen of all she surveys!) and her name will remain Daisy. She has a little girl to love, and when I left she was exploring the house with great interest.

Also of note: someone met Nick and Jay Sunday evening, and filled out an application to adopt them both! So hopefully they’ll get to go home soon. They’ve been doing well at Petsmart – the volunteers have reported that they’re socializing well with the other cats, and Jay is getting plenty of time to run and play.

When Uncle Charlie came to visit.

Wren was like “I DON’T KNOW YOU” and Charlie was like “Yeah, kid, we met downstairs, remember? You sniffed my tail and put on your Stranger Danger floof suit?”

::sniff::sniff::sniff::SNIFF::

“SIR, YOU ARE MISTAKEN, WE HAVE NEVER MET.”

Then she followed him around and sniffed his tail.

Charlie went in to check out the litter box, and Tater was all “THE VERY NERVE OF THAT GUY.”

Rufous was all “Oh hey guys, it’s Uncle Charlie! Uncle Charlie came to visit!”

Rufous watched Uncle Charlie eat some kitten food.

“That’s the magic dish, Uncle Charlie! We eat and eat and it’s never empty!” (Meanwhile, Wren kept a close eye on that guy.)

Wren’s face is cracking me up. “WHAT IS GOING ON?!”

Charlie checked out all the kittens’ toys and beds while Wren and Tater followed him around.

He and Starling sniffed noses, and Starling…

Put on her Floof Suit because she is very fashion forward and always wants to be properly dressed.

Charlie checked out his look in the mirror.

Then he was like “There are really a bunch of kittens in here.”

“How do I get this door to open, again?”

He took one more look around while Starling floofed again.

Then he left the room, and Tater said “And he better not come in here again! I told him he ain’t welcome in here! Eating our food like that!”

The floof suits just kill me, not least because EVERY SINGLE ONE of the Nestlings have met Charlie before. He is not a stranger to them – it’s only been a little more than a week since they were running around downstairs in the evenings. I guess they have short memories. Or it’s different when it’s him coming into their space (instead of the other way around.)

It’s a magnificent bowl o’ Khal.

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.

Rufous is all “Please, sir, I want some more.”

Hooray, hooray! Daisy was adopted today! Her name will remain Daisy; she’s the only pet, and she will be much loved and spoiled. ❤️ (She has a little girl to love!) When I left, she was busily exploring her new home. Happy life, sweet girl!! ❤️❤️❤️

Very important discussions with Wren (who is sleepy) and Starling (who is not.)

(Picture taken before Nick and Jay went to Petsmart.) Update on Nick and Jay: the volunteers report that they are doing well – they come out and socialize with the other kittens, Jay does a lot of climbing and running. One of the volunteers blew bubbles for the kitties the other day, and Jay was ALL about that. The really good news is that there is now an application for them (together), so they will hopefully be able to go home soon!

It’s play time in the kitten room: so many toys, so little time.

It’s a flying Tater.

Good night innernets. (Starling)
