In case you missed it, there’s an update on Calliope’s adoption. She is STILL adoption pending (going home late September/early October), but now…
She’s adoption pending WITH Daphne! That’s excellent news, isn’t it? Calliope loves all her kittens, of course, but she has a definite soft spot for Daphne. I’m so excited for them!
There have been multiple applications for Pandora (just waiting to hear who gets her), and Cassandra got an application yesterday. So for now we wait to see how it turns out – fingers crossed that I have good news in another day or so. I always feel better when everyone’s been spoken for.

Zeus (left) and Daphne. You can see that he’s bigger than she is – and his tail (and the rest of him) is obviously floofier. His head is rounder – hers is more angular – and of course she’s got that little white dot next to her nose.

Daphne likes to make sure Calliope stays clean (it’s payback for all the baths Calliope gave her when she was a baby.) I added in the purring (from a video a couple of litters agao), because my the camera was right by my stomach, which kept gurgling, and no one needs to hear that!

Calliope, Daphne and Zephyr are really the only ones who are interested in Churu – Zeus, Cassandra and Pandora are pretty “No thank you” about the whole thing. And I think Daphne and Zephyr mostly just want to see what mama is so excited about.

I was very very busy yesterday doing nothing at all, and didn’t get the kittens’ 11 week portraits done (I’ll get that done before tomorrow), so please accept this family portrait for now.
🎉 Former foster Sammie (formerly Momos), who was adopted nearly three months ago! Lara says: “One of her favorite spots is to be laying or cuddling on or as close as she can get to me. And I kinda love it. Here’s a pic of [big sister] Bean and Sammie from yesterday.” How absolutely adorable are they! (Thanks, Lara!)

UPDATE! Calliope is still adoption pending, and NOW Daphne is adoption pending too – they’re being adopted together, and we’re thrilled for them!! 🎉 (Reminder: they’ll be with us ’til late September/early October!)

It’s an action-packed video – Pandora vs. her tail, Pandora vs. Zephyr, Mama’s got a toy that she keeps trying to get the kittens interested in, Zephyr’s being sassy, and then Zeus and Pandora have a tussle. Oh yeah, and Daphne’s in there too!
I’ve been trying to decide what color description is the most accurate for Calliope’s pretty, pretty eyes. Fun fact: if the watermark on the picture is a color other than blue or white, that means I used a dropper tool (in Picmonkey) to match a color somewhere in the picture. I decided to use the color of her eyes for the watermark on this picture, and PicMonkey decided that her eyes are “Dark Khaki.” Works for me!

I’m so tickled that Daphne is being adopted with Calliope! She’ll take care of her mama’s hair styling and grooming, no doubt! And Calliope will be giving Daphne a master class in being a grown up, loving cat! Looking forward to more adoption-pending news soon!
