Last night was AMAZING for adoptions – not only did Cypress get adopted, but so did Skinny Pete/Minnie. And ALSO Meeps and Tillie, two older cats who’ve been waiting a long time for their forever homes.

I don’t know what brought on all those adoptions at once, but I like it! That emptied out the cat room, and so Hemlock, Juniper and Privet will be off to Petsmart Thursday evening. We’ll miss them, of course, but hopefully the adoptions will keep up. Fingers crossed!

(PS: It’s especially appropriate that Skinny Pete/Minnie went home last night, since it was a year ago today that I introduced Skinny Pete and Badger!)

Last evening was actually kind of eventful – Good Morning America shared the video of Juniper and Hemlock “fighting” in the sun on their Facebook timeline. (The grumpy commenters who objected to the use of “fighting” in the description and pointed out that OMG THEY ARE CLEARLY PLAYING NOT FIGHTING cracked. Me. UP.)

I have honestly not put any cats or kittens on that sofa/bed – I haven’t needed to. They hang out on it all the time!

I have not successfully gotten a picture of Juniper on it – YET – because that girl is always on the move!

  1. Hooray for Challenger’s House, its devoted staff and volunteers, and all those amazing, patient, much loved kitties who found their homes last night! More cheers for their new families! Surely Lay-Purr Day was one of the engines behind it, TERESA. Would it be so wrong to suggest that every change of season feature a Lay-Purr Day?

  3. I was so happy seeing all of the adopted posts last night!! Yay Teresa, Challenger’s House, Petsmart and new families!!!

    Oh Hemlock and Juniper are celebra-kitties now!! The comments did crack me up – and they even have a Nigerian “prince” as an admirer! 😉

    OMG – the comments on the GMA site are hilarious….. get over yourselves people (though congrats for making it on GMA’s facebook page).

    Stefan on that bed is awesome. Just a tad too small…haha

      1. I thought about that too! But then I thought they might find the video wherein I claimed the kittens were FIGHTING TO THE DEATH and take me to task for it. “THEY’RE JUST PLAYING, DUMMY! GOD!”

    Oh my gosh, I adore Stefan on the couch! He may not fit perfectly, but oh my gosh is he cute there! Love the kittens on it too! Thank you so much for all of your bids on the auction, Robyn! You’re doing a lot to help Winnie’s Wish and it is greatly appreciated! As are your plugs to the auction! Thank you thank you!

Your items are AWESOME Andrea… Not sure if you noticed in a few pix of Minnie/Skinny Pete on the CHI page… She was in LOVE with a gray/purple fish you made that has been in the cat room at Petsmart. Of course she kept drowning it for us to dry & return – but she LOVED it!! I think we may need to order more! 🙂
