I pulled the camera out of the closet (as opposed to my phone, which is what I use 99.9999% of the time to take pics and videos) and Fred got out the feather teaser, and the kittens and Calliope had some fun.

Calliope was first to jump up after the teaser. Go, Mama!

I love the look on her face (and her straight-up tail) as she looks up at the teaser.

There goes Zeus.

And Cassandra.

And Zephyr.

A Cassandra-Zeus double feature!

They got sleepy pretty quickly – I’m sure we’ll have other jumping photo sessions again in the future.

Calliope and Daphe on the tall teaser.

Calliope said “See ya!”

I thought she was going to jump from there to the bed, but she opted to hang out atop the scratcher, and Cassandra joined her.

CASSANDRA (DOB 6/14/26) IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION. Email Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at INFO (at) FFHSV.ORG or fill out an online application here. (She’s going for her spay on September 16th & can go home a few days later.)

Cassandra (Calico, DOB 6/14/26) is so cute that it’s literally impossible to take a bad picture of her. We dare you to try! She might be small – she’s the smallest of her litter, which has earned her the nickname “Tiny” – but that doesn’t hold her back at all. She doesn’t hesitate to jump on her bigger siblings to start a wrestling match. She wins more often than you’d expect! She is a SUPER playful girl who absolutely adores feather teasers and loves to chase any toys you toss for her, including Ping Pong balls and mylar balls. She also loves to chase her own tail! (She hasn’t caught it yet, but give her time.) When she’s expended all that energy, she curls up with her siblings or in your lap and purrs the day away. She has learned to tolerate being kissed (we think she likes it, but she won’t admit it), likes being petted, and will tolerate short belly rubs.

Cassandra CANNOT be an only kitten – she needs at least one other cat to play and snuggle with. She gets along well with other cats and is great friends with her sisters Pandora and Daphne (who are also available) if you’re looking for a second kitten. She hasn’t been around dogs in her foster home, but should be fine with cat-friendly dogs. We are located in Huntsville, Alabama. Out of area adoptions are allowed, but adopters must come here to complete the adoption since Cassandra can’t reach the steering wheel and the gas/brakes at the same time. She’s too tiny!

DAPHNE (DOB 6/14/26) IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION. Email Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at INFO (at) FFHSV.ORG or fill out an online application here. (She’s going for her spay on September 16th, and can go home a few days later.)

Daphne (b&w tuxie, DOB 6/14/26) has a case of what we call “happy tail” – no matter what she’s doing, her tail is up so high that it nearly brushes the back of her head. Whether she’s wrestling with her siblings or playing by herself, that tail is always up. She is one happy girl! She is very playful and if she hears the rattle of a feather teaser, she will come FLYING from wherever she is to leap up at it. The girl can LEAP – and leap and leap and leap. You keep waving that teaser around, she’ll leap all day long! She loves jumping after Ping Pong balls, batting felted balls around, and is fascinated by track ball toys. She likes to be picked up and kissed, she might snuggle for a moment or two, but she is a very busy girl and after a short time she wants down ’cause she has things to DO. When she’s sleepy she’ll curl up with her siblings or if you’re very lucky, she’ll curl up next to you and purr while you pet her. She is not – at this moment – a lap kitten, but that certainly might change as she gets older.

Daphne CANNOT be an only kitten – she needs at least one other cat to play and snuggle with. She gets along well with other cats and is great friends with her sisters Cassandra and Pandor (who are also available) if you’re looking for a second kitten. She hasn’t been around dogs in her foster home, but should be fine with cat-friendly dogs. We are located in Huntsville, Alabama. Out of area adoptions are allowed, but adopters must come here to complete the adoption as our hot air balloon delivery system is (still!) on the fritz… and we wouldn’t really trust Daphne not to poke holes in the balloon anyway.

Throw Back Thursday: from 2020, Athos (orange) and Winter (gray and white) were really giving each other The Business! (DO NOT miss Winter’s awesome series of bouncy-hops around 40 seconds, they are a sight to behold!)

PANDORA (DOB 6/14/26) IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION. Email Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at INFO (at) FFHSV.ORG or fill out an online application here. (She’s going for her spay on September 16th, and can go home a few days later.)

Pandora (calico, DOB 6/14/26) was put together late on a Friday when everyone just wanted to go home, so they just stuck an orange tabby leg on her front right side and called her done (and it’s awfully cute!) She’s a sweet girl with an instant purr and also? She’s a licker. She’ll lick your toes, your arm, your cheek. The girl can’t hold her licker! (But it’s very sweet.) She likes being held on her back like a baby, is definitely a lapkitten, and will climb into your lap for a long snuggle before she either falls asleep or decides she’s got places to be and races off. She loves jumping up after Ping Pong balls, batting a spring toy around, and sproinging up in the air after a feather teaser. But her favorite toy is her tail. She loves to chase that thing around and around in circles. She hasn’t caught it yet, but she’s sure she will! She likes to be picked up and kissed, enjoys being held on her back like a baby, and did we mention her purr? Such a sweet, loud purr. (And to answer the obvious question, yes. She likes boxes!)

Pandora CANNOT be an only kitten – she needs at least one other cat to play and snuggle with. She gets along well with other cats and is great friends with her sisters Cassandra and Daphne (who are also available) if you’re looking for a second kitten. She hasn’t been around dogs in her foster home, but should be fine with cat-friendly dogs. We are located in Huntsville, Alabama. Out of area adoptions are allowed, but adopters must come here to complete the adoption since the last time Pandora drove a car she got stuck in a roundabout and drove in circles for 3 hours before the car ran out of gas. We don’t let her drive anymore.

Throw Back Thursday: from 2020 yes it’s Aramis (now permanent resident Charlie) again along with foster brother Rochefort, with an appearance by D’Artagnan at the end. I was checking to see if the belly was a trap and it was NOT. (He still likes the occasional belly rub, 6 years later!)

Throw Back Thursday: from 2020, the kitten Aramis (who grew up to be permanent resident Charlie) says “Real funny, lady.” (Please admire his magic tabby toe there on the left.)

Good night innernets. (Cassandra, Zephyr and Zeus)
