Remember Fizz (white and brown tabby) and Whiskey (classic brown tabby), from late last year/early this year? They were in the Nightcaps litter, the same bunch that Magoo and Milo were part of. They were adopted together in January.
Well, due to a relocation on their family’s part (out of the country), they were returned to Forgotten Felines Wednesday evening. They’re at Michelle’s house. (The picture above and the ones below are from January; I don’t have updated pictures yet.)

Whiskey.

Whiskey pie with a side of Fizz.
They’ll be at Michelle’s house for the time being, and if they haven’t been adopted when I get back from my trip out of town in November, they can come back here until they’re adopted again. They are scared at Michelle’s, because of course they are – their life has been upended.
I am not in the mood for the LOL SURE THEY’LL BE ADOPTED OUT AGAIN ::clown horn:: YOU KNOW YOU’RE GOING TO KEEP THEM nonsense, so please let’s skip that this time around, shall we?
I remember Fizz as being a little clown who really likes other cats; Whiskey as being skittish at first, but once he warmed up, a total love bug. I expect their personalities to be very much the same, but time will tell (as mentioned, they’re pretty scared right now.)
If you’re interested in adopting this pair (they’re reported as being a bonded pair), you can fill out an application here, or email Forgotten Felines at info (at) ffhsv.org to inquire. (In like manner, if you’re in the local area and interested in fostering them for a while, you can also email Forgotten Felines.)

“Whatcha doin’ with that feather teaser, lady?” Calliope wonders.

I just could not get Daphne to look my way, no matter how hard I waved that feather teaser. She was in her own little world.

It sure made Pete and Smitty chatter, though.

Feather teaser chattering runs in the family, Daphne would like you to know.

Sweet tuxies. (Daphne left, Smitty right.)

There’s Daphne, off in her own little world again. I love Calliope’s tail curl.

Charlie and Khal, hanging out in the back yard. (I love those volunteer Cosmos so much!)

Magoo has claimed the box o’ paper, and Pete and Smitty are biding their time.

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr/ Bluesky/Threads) yesterday.

Happy #Thlurrrpsday from Calliope and (from left) Daphne, Pete and Smitty.

🎉 Former fosters from earlier this year Spritz (purple collar) and Mimosa (pink) continue to be SO cute. They’re doing great, are VERY spoiled, and getting along very well with their doggy friend. ❤️ (Thanks, Susan!)

I’m so glad these two are being adopted together, Daphne sure loves her mama.

TBT: from 2005, I love this picture so. That’s black kitten Barrett leaping for the feather teaser, egged on by his orange brother Sad Eyes and their calico sister Little Cal. Barrett became Tom Cullen, Sad Eyes became Sugarbutt, and they were the very first fosters we adopted.

I got out the disc launcher and… well, launched some discs. Calliope and her tail crack me UP.

TBT: it’s been 6 years since we adopted foster kitten Aramis, and immediately changed his name to Charlie (Prince of Wails… because he wailed at the door if he could hear me on the other side.) He was such a little guy, who knew he’d grow up to be the behemoth he is today?

Good night innernets. (Calliope, Daphne, and a tiny bit of Smitty’s ear over there on the left.)

So, so sorry to hear the news about Fizz and Whiskey. At least their adopters did the right thing in returning them to Forgotten Felines, rather than simply abandoning them. So upsetting to hear that they are scared and traumatized, but hopefully as a bonded pair they can comfort one another. And with you to help promote awareness of their availability, it will help them find the secure and loving home they so much need and deserve.
