Back in 2020, I bought scratcher from Target that was the “El Gato Fish Taco truck” and it was a big hit with the kittens. They liked it so much that I went out and bought the other two Target had in stock, and naturally the very INSTANT the kittens showed that they liked the taco truck, Target stopped making/carrying them. (This is the first post I could find that mentioned it.)
After that one bit the dust, I set up and we used the second Taco Truck. And then once THAT one bit the dust, I decided to wait to use the last one, and then it sat in the closet. I spotted it the other day and decided it was time!

Pete was the first to check it out.

Then I moved it downstairs and Smitty was all “I’m gonna work here, too!”

Magoo said “I will be the manager!”

I think Pete’s gonna eat the profits, though.

I’m using treats to teach Pete and Smitty how to use the new microchip feeder (link for reference) – they still need kitten food for a few more months at least, and Charlie, Khal and Magoo do NOT need kitten food at ALL. So far it’s been super simple – it’s programmed to both their microchips, they figured it out immediately, and the movement of the door opening and closing doesn’t bother them in the slightest.
(Honestly, I would love to use these feeders for all the cats. Charlie could stand to lose a few pounds!)

“I heard that. RUDE.” Sorry, Charlie.

Doesn’t look like Khal is on board with the idea of a microchip feeder either. Ha.

Rocco could probably stand to lose a few pounds too, but I think he’s got food bowls all over this neighborhood. (And if not that, he’s a surprisingly good hunter!)

Pete’s just hanging out, showing off his perfectly floofy tail.

Smitty is SUCH a distinguished gentleman, posing perfectly in the pink Adirondack.

⏪ THE DAILY REWIND ⏪ From 2020 – we had a litter of FIFTEEN kittens (not all related) and THEY. HAD. RINGWORM. 😭 While they were being treated for ringworm, I scrubbed the foster room everyyyy single day, ending with a good mopping of the floor. Because I didn’t want them walking on the floor while it was wet with the cleaner, I put all 15 of them in the crate, mopped, and then released them. Someone wanted to know how I got them all in the crate, so I made this video. (I release them at the end.)

Pete, Smitty and Magoo on the cat tree, pretty sure it’s Churu time. (Look at Smitty looking at Magoo – a little bit of hero worship going on there, I think.)

Good night innernets. (Charlie)
