OH, I DON’T KNOW. I DON’T KNOW WHERE THOSE KITTENS ARE. I’M STARTING TO THINK SHE’S NEVER GOING TO HAVE THEM.

I may not have kittens, but Connie’s mama kitty did, so go over there for your kitten fix! RockyCat’s got some, too. In fact, I think EVERYONE BUT ME has them. ::pout::


“Oh, nice view. Look at all that green grass and sunshine. I think I’ll haul all 1700 of these kittens in my belly up to this shelf and look outside for a while.”


“Just napping. Y’know. A lazy day!”


“Gimme that thing. I’m going to become a photographer over the next year until I decide to drop these babies. I’ve got them on the SLOW COOKING setting.”


“What you MEAN I already look huge? That’s rude.”


“You trying to make me self-conscious about my full figure?”


“I’m not sure I like you, lady.”


“I’ll have them when I WANNA have them. Stop rushing me!”

Seriously, I have no idea. I’ve been waking up just about every hour for the last three nights to check on her, and nothing. She spends most of her time sleeping on the Ham-mick, eating, and using the litter box. She checked out the crate a few times, dug a nest in the back of it, and then went back to the Ham-mick. Yesterday morning she climbed into my lap for a while.

She’ll have ’em when she has ’em, and I have ZERO clue when that will be. I never expected we’d still be waiting! Of course, 4 years ago we were waiting for Maggie to have her babies, and she didn’t have them for another two days. SIGH.

  2. Wouldn’t you just die if she wasn’t really pregnant and that belly movement was just gas!?? LOL

  4. As big as her belly is, I suspect she’ll have at least 6 kittens. And she does have such a smug look on her face! 🙂

    So of course I had to look up 2011’s post…not only news about Maggie holding onto her babies, but also about the most beautiful cat ever. The Corbie announcement had me smiling and teary at the same time. Hugs!

      2. And scream for Fred to Come here right now!!! and of course the latch wouldn’t work because it’s an emergency.

        2. God help me if I need to yell for Fred – if he’s more than five feet away, he won’t hear me. I can imagine calling the house phone from my cell phone while sitting in the foster room and him in the room right below me.

  9. Mama is such a pretty girl!! She’s sure resting up, and I think that hammick must be ultra-comfy, supporting the belleh that way. She’s going to pop if she doesn’t give birth soon! so glad she’s in YOUR foster room, too, and I bet she knows how nice she has it. April 1 would be fun, we’d all think for a split second you were foolin’ us…

  10. Poor mama looks like she’s about to pop open and have ten kittens fall out. I don’t think I’ve seen such a pregnant belly.

    I’m impressed that she can even catloaf with that tummy.

    1. She’s very determined! Earlier today she was laying directly on her stomach, looking like an oversized bullfrog. 🙂

  11. I might have to change my prediction of Mama kitty having six to at least seven kittens, or they are going to be pretty big kittens. Maybe she is having all boys and they don’t want to ask for directions on how to get out of her !!!!!!! LOL !!!!

    Stefan is very concerned about young kittens and their catnip habits !!!

  12. You’ve got kittens, you just can see or touch them right now. You know the longer you wait for them the more adorable they are going to be.. you are going to have kittens that are going to break the internet when they finally arrive..

  13. Well, my mama cat had four babies, and Connie’s had five … judging by these pics, I’d say that YOUR mama cat is going to have … eleventy billion babies! IF she ever delivers, of course. 🙂

    1. That’s a big IF. I’m starting to think that she’s got them hidden somewhere, and she just stuffs a pillow under her belly fur when she hears me approaching.

  16. I predict Saturday April 4 as that is the full moon…and how cool would it be to have Easter BAY-BEES!!!!

    1. But I don’t wanna wait that loooooooong! (And of course, her appetite picked up today, making me think that we could still be in for a wait. Wahhhh!)
