I took this picture several weeks ago, when Roux and Praline were still with us. This was at bedtime, when Fred calls the cats in from the back yard and sweetens the deal with crunchies. Roux and Praline jumped right on the idea of getting treats, as you can see. (I always get a little excited when half or more of the permanent residents are in the same space, and try to get a picture. They never come out that great, but I love having them anyway.)

2013: Poor Arya was sound asleep, and then suddenly Jon Snow was all “I NEEDS ME A SNUGGLE!” and flopped down right on top of her.

2010: How I have not squeezed the stuffing out of that boy, I do not know.

2008: I don’t remember what she was appalled by, but apparently it was quite SOMETHING.

In looking at the sidebar pics, Belle and Mercury look as though they could be related… or, at least share the same fabulous make up artist – – that perfectly applied black eyeliner just slays me! Robyn, just wanting clarification – I’m so slow on the uptake (I blame it on a half-century’s worth of … well… I dunno!) Challenger’s House has been dissolved? Maybe I should preface this with – I need to change my amazon smile account – does Forgotten Felines have the same affiliation w/Amazon? It’s not much, but it does add up – too bad they don’t ‘pay per view’ of amazon prime video content! (Can you say “Last Tycoon”, “Goliath”, and “Newsroom” (yep, slow on the uptake – LOVED it… just a few years behind!) Sorry, any clarification – also, is there an address for donations? Thanks!

    1. I still have Challenger’s House as my Amazon charity, too. I figure the kitties there (including one of Robyn’s former fosters right now) can still use my few cents! 😀 But I’ve made direct donations to Forgotten Felines, too. Both are worthy choices.

    2. Challenger’s House has gone from a rescue to a sanctuary, but they definitely still need donations and can use the money generated from Amazon Smile and from Kroger. They have a relatively low population compared to how many they’ve had in the past, but they’re an aging population, which can be more expensive. Also, they’re there for any Challenger’s House cats who might be returned in the future (and considering Belle and her kittens are Challenger’s House cats, that could still happen in 15 years+). So they aren’t taking in rescues at the rate they were when I was fostering for them full-time, but the need is certainly still there.

  3. Every once in a while Stardust becomes Starburst (see above captions)…but that is ok – the kitten is rocking the gold ear polish!

  4. So… who’s in the permanent residents picture? Praeline and Roux at the bottom, of course… Newtles and Stefan are the buff ones, Frankie is the bright orange and I suspect the lighter-brown tabby is Dewey and the darker brown tabby is Dennis. And my favorite, Jake, doing the mind-meld with one of the girls! Am I right? PS… your permanent resident sidebar is in dire need of some updatin’! Two more residents to add!

    1. Oh, I know. I’m having a hard time getting motivated to put together the pages, even though I know it’ll only take a little while. Mercury and the Missions aren’t in the sidebar yet (don’t even have their own page), I need to get it done!

      And you’re right – Newt, Stefan, Frankie, Dewey, Dennis and Jake. Kara had been in the kitchen, but left before I could grab my phone.
