In case you missed it, yesterday Benji was adopted and went home!

He joins a family that includes former fosters Obi (formerly Angus), Darth, and R2 (formerly Gustavo and Lalo)!

Today’s post includes the rest of the pictures I have that include him.

Considering his next move.

He got tired of waiting and lured Sebastian in for a snuggle.

I was trying to get the three to pose for me, but Sebastian noped on outta there.

“SEE ya!”

He could see himself in the mirror across the room and was all “Who IS that good-lookin’ fella?”

Even down to three kittens, I couldn’t get them all to pose for me in the boxes. THANKS, MARGARITA.

This brings us down to just Margarita and Sebastian who are available but as of yet unadopted. Hopefully before they go for their spay/neuter on the 23rd, their people will show up. They better!

Eventually I’m going to scrub down the foster room and move Lilia and the Alphabet Gang over there, but I’m not in a hurry (it’s not like they need that much room yet), so I’ll get that done in the next week or so. Then Margarita and Sebastian will sleep in my room at night (that’ll be restful, I’m sure) and have the run of the house during the day. (Depending on how Charlie behaves, we might be able to let them have the run of the house at night as well. We’ll see! He can be a bit rambunctious with kittens, since he still hasn’t come to terms with his own size.)

Well, that’s rather more weight than that window bed is used to holding, but it’s holding up well under Charlie’s girth.

MARGARITA (black, female, DOB 4/3/25) and SEBASTIAN (classic brown tabby, male, DOB 4/26/25) are not related by blood, but have been friends since they were very small. Both kittens had a very rough start (Margarita was found as a tiny kitten, all alone, under someone’s deck. Sebastian was found at 5 days old, terribly underweight with no mother in sight) and while we worried very much in the beginning, they both turned out to be fighters who not only pulled through but have thrived.

They’re both super sweet playful kittens who adore chasing each other back and forth, share (and don’t share) toys like rattly mice and toys with feathers attached, and can often be found curled up together asleep. They’re both people lovers, adore a good cuddle, tolerate being kissed (and they have been kissed A LOT) and have very loud, instant purrs. They’re not necessarily bonded, but they’ve been through so much together that we’d love to see them adopted as a pair. They are going for their spay and neuter on July 23rd, and will be ready to go home that weekend. They get along well with other cats; they haven’t been around dogs in their foster home, but should be fine with cat-friendly dogs.

We are located in the Huntsville, Alabama area; out of area adoptions are allowed, but adopters must come here to complete the adoption, because Margarita has a serious case of road rage, and Sebastian doesn’t know his left from his right (yet! We have hope he’ll figure it out.)

The Alphabet Soup Gang is 1 week old (as of yesterday)! This is what they look like now. Owen’s left eye is a bit goopy; we’re treating it with ointment, which usually is all that’s needed. You can see their weight chart (link below), which will be updated weekly from here on out. They’re doing great!

Two pics of Benji, taken almost exactly two months apart (May 3rd & July 5th). Doesn’t even look like the same kitten, does it? Benji’s going through his long & lanky phase right now; he’ll floof back up as he gets older.

Hooray, hooray, Benji was adopted today! He joins a family that includes former fosters Obi (formerly Angus), Darth (Gustavo) and R2 (Lalo) in his new home (they’re local here in the Huntsville area.) Happy life, sweet boy! ❤️ (They’re considering Yoda as a name for him, to go with their theme!)

I swear, there could be 20 nipples, each fully stocked, and kittens would still fight over the same one sometimes. I think kittens enjoy a little drama.
