When Uncle Rocco came to visit.
Nigel was VERY floofy, but Sebastian didn’t notice anything was happening. (He’s already met Rocco before, actually.)
Margarita looked at me like “Why’re they so floofy?”
Remember how shocked I was that Benji growled at Teresa? He growled at Rocco, too! It cracks me up, because otherwise he is SUCH a laid-back kitten.
I took the bowl of food away from Rocco – who doesn’t need to be eating kitten food anyway – and he went to check out the rest of the room.
He gave Sebastian the ol’ snifferoo.
Hazel said “YOU STAY AWAY FROM OUR LITTER BOXES, MISTER! SO RUDE!”
Fred took Rocco out of the room, but Benji remained a little high strung.
They, of course, had to sniff every single spot of the room where Rocco had touched.
And Nigel and Benji postured at each other for about ten minutes. Finally, they calmed down and depoofed and all was well again.
(If I could convince Charlie to go in there, I absolutely would – but he wants nothin’ to do with that room, so no Charlie and kitten pics… YET.)

I love how well this picture shows off Matilda’s frosted coat. So cool!
Getting ever closer to a lined-up picture! From left: Margarita, Hazel (front), Monty (back), Benji, Nigel, Matilda, and Sebastian (in the pie plate).

Sebastian is 5 weeks old now, and still loves his bottle. Look at those wiggly ears!
(Yes, he’s eating solid food now. He’s getting supplemental bottles until he decides he wants to live the bottle-free life, and if that’s ’til he goes off to college, then so be it!)
Benji’s all “HAZEL, come onnnnnn, give me the phone! I need to doom scroll for 3 hours and then wonder why I didn’t get anything done today!”

BOOP BOOP! BOOPing Matilda and Hazel and Margarita.
It’s a Sebastian pie! (My favorite!) Seems a little extra sassy today.

It is TOO funny to me when they have to sniff everyplace the intruder touched. Have they mastered the art of the stinky face yet?
No, now that you mention it, I have not seen a stinky face from these guys yet. Maybe they’re too busy floofing and skittering to have gotten to that chapter in their lessons!
Such poofiness!!!
So I’m getting a bunch of Fbook ads about metal litter pans now. (Gee…I wonder why they targeted me?) 🙂 Didn’t you try one a while ago? I looked under the recommendations column to get your thoughts, but didn’t see any. Was it worth the price?
I’m using one in the foster litter closet right now – it’s this one – actually. It’s fine, but I don’t know that it’s all that impressive – it is easy to scrub (it’s nonstick) and the kittens get in and out just fine, but with 7 kittens in the foster room, I’m using one of the metal litter boxes, one of the Luli & Cat disposable ones (because Sebastian’s got those short legs still, and the Luli & Cat boxes are perfect for him), and two concrete mixing mixing tubs. (And I can’t use the metal boxes for my cats because Charlie is a high pee-er.) So basically – it’s not NOT worth it, but I don’t know that it’s all that. Helpful, aren’t I? 🙂
Is Sebastian staying in the foster room all of the time now?
He is!
Too funny!! Such a terrifying visitor!!! Those were some impressive floof suits.
Is that Uncle Rocco’s first visit to the kitten room?
As far as I can recall, this is the first time Rocco’s been in the foster room, but now that I’ve said that, I feel like maybe he’s been in there before? I gotta go look – I’ll update this in tomorrow’s post either way!
So, Rocco is permie #4, got it! ;D
