You know, sometimes I come up with an idea for a picture, and I think “This probably won’t work, but I’m gonna try it” – for instance, the tie-wearing pictures of Huey, Dewey and Louie from February 2024.
It worked out way better than I expected.
And then I have an idea that I am, for some reason, ENTIRELY sure will work, and it just doesn’t.
Recently, I took 7 little boxes and I zip-tied them together. The kittens have been having a blast hanging out in them and chasing toys that I toss into the boxes, and I became SO CERTAIN that I was going to be able to put one kitten in each box, and take a picture of them.
Well, THAT didn’t work out.
At least I managed to get one shot with all 7 kittens, even if they weren’t in the boxes.
Benji pretty much stayed where I put him.
I was wildly waving the feather teaser, Benji and Monty looked up, and everyone else did their own thing. I don’t even know where Margarita was at this point.
Benji continuing to pose, and Hazel looking up. No idea where Monty was, and Margarita still missing in action.
5 of the 6 looking up at me, Margarita elsewhere.
Benji finally decided he was done, and Matilda and Sebastian crammed into one box.
This one’s not bad – Sebastian and Matilda wandered off, but all 5 kittens were looking up at the feather teaser.
Later on, I got a pretty good lined-up shot, so I’m happy. (From left: Benji, Sebastian, Monty, Nigel, Matilda, Hazel and Margarita.

Rocco’s waiting for a very important package.

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr/ Bluesky) yesterday.
Sebastian (top) and Monty take turns checking out the new box.
Matilda has reclaimed the big floofy bed from Sebastian (who doesn’t care in the slightest – he’s sleeping on the couch these days.)

Sebastian playing, Sebastian fighting with Margarita, and I have to rescue my phone from the jaws of Nigel (who thinks everything belongs to him.)
I put this container down on the floor and it took maaaaybe 15 seconds for Monty to claim it.

Benji and Sebastian snuggling (and fighting), Monty running around with the mylar teaser in his mouth, Sebastian playing, and Hazel shows off her hoppin’ skills.
Sebastian’s grumpy little face is cracking me up here.
Good night innernets. (Benji & Monty)

Right! Rocco is awaiting his engraved invitation to a spot on the Permie Page. It’s coming from a place on that long river in Egypt… LOL!

Love the pic of Sebastian.
