Some of you probably don’t know this – since I never mention it – but when Fred isn’t working or wrangling cats or sighing and rolling his eyes while holding a kitten for me to take a picture of, he writes horror books. His latest book is out today! (Only on Kindle/eBook).

As mentioned: IT IS HORROR. It is occasionally GRAPHIC. Do not come crying to me if it gives you nightmares. I think it’s good (I say, with the caveat that OF COURSE I’M GOING TO SAY THAT), but I happen to like horror. (Of note: his books The Convert (my favorite) and No Limit are more thriller with paranormal aspects than horror.)

(You can see a list of his other books here.)

*I’m just sharing this for anyone who might be interested. If you’re not, that is PERFECTLY fine, you don’t need to explain why. We’re good!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Checking out the view.
Uno does a sneak.
Canasta gives out baths.
Kittens gonna roam.
Whist is all “Hello, Mr. Banana. We meet again!”
Fizzbin wonders if you’ve admired her toes.
Fizzbin’s all “Come on, Slapjack! Come out and explore with us!”
It’s an awfully big world for a little bitty Whist.
Fizzbin went back into the crate briefly.
Rummy, amazed.
“There’s a milk bar out here!”
Slapjack approves.
“Watchin’ you, lady.”
After a day or so of ignoring the fact that they could leave the crate by the front entrance, the kittens suddenly realized that “HEY! There’s this entrance that’s always open!”, and they flooded out and scattered all over the place. So I unzipped the side entrance, and they spent the day exploring the room (well, about 10 feet from the crate) and then returning to the crate to nurse and nap. I give it a couple more days and then they’ll likely decide they’re too grown-up for the crate at all. Today I’m going to get a couple of litter boxes set up with plain clay litter, and will introduce them to it. They generally start showing interest in the litter box around 4 weeks; some kittens a little earlier, some a little later. I’ll also put washable pee pads everywhere to catch any accidents.
Our babies are growing so fast!
    Just out of nosy curiosity what kind of work does Fred do when he’s not doing those other things you listed? Promise I’m not a stalker.
    Horror? Thriller with a side of paranormal? Sign.Me.Up. My favourite kind of reads! Congratulations Fred!
    Fizzbin seems to be the little nervy one of the bunch, always egging her siblings on to sneak out of the house and explore.
    Love that it is “field trip” time for the kittens.
    I will have to check out Fred’s books. I like the psychological thriller genre.
    The kittens are growing up so fast!!
    I thought all of Fred’s books were horror, which I just can’t do. But I love thrillers, so I just bought The Convert.
    Oh, this is a fun age! Wonderful babies!
    I’ve read one of Fred’s books before and enjoyed it, so I’m sure I will check this out. I’m a fan of Stephen King and Dean Koontz. In fact, I remember that Fred’s book reminded me a bit of Koontz’s style, which is a compliment. Congratulations, Fred!
      I love how the captioning there makes the photo of Canasta with her leg up look like Canasta’s name is Robyn Anderson.
    I absolutely love that picture of Rummy, amazed. Awww! I have a strong attachment to kittens at around four weeks old. They are still so awkward and goofy but really developing into being cats. Does anyone follow Kitten Lady on Instagram? She takes care of very small baby animals. She somewhat accidentally got a litter of neonate puppies to foster (Someone at first thought they were kittens!!). She loves them and is taking good care of them, of course, but had a funny video the other day where she was holding one up. She said at this young age they’re just about like kittens and need the same things, but she’s been puzzled about whether they’re happy or not because they don’t purr! I’m sure they are happy. They’re cute too, though not as cute as kittens imho!
