Zeus gets a bath. There are many wonderful things you can say about Calliope, and one of this is that she has kept her kittens SPOTLESS. Which is something I appreciate!

Zeus works on his pounce. Daphne works on her turn-and-run.

Zeus and Pandora, comparing paw sizes.

Calliope shows off her flexibility and that she uses the cat tree to sharpen her claws. She’s such a good girl.

The kittens ARE venturing away from the nest – but they always return to it.

Zephyr checks out the Fancy Sofa.

Daphne spotted Pandora and floofed her tail!

Daphne and Cassandra have a cuddle.

The Dumplings are headed off to another foster home today!

They are still available for adoption, so if you will miss seeing them terribly on the blog, you can always apply to adopt them yourself. Email Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at info (at) ffhsv.org to inquire, or fill out an application right here. (You may very much miss me with the “I thought they were going to be permanent residents!” because as much as I adore these three, I have zero desire to double my permanent resident population.) They will be just as loved and spoiled at Tabatha’s house and I know she’ll update me on how they’re doing. We – particularly Charlie – need a break from these wild things snoopervising everything.

I will still post about them every so often to remind y’all that they’re still available. There have been a couple of applications for Tortellini over the past few weeks, but they didn’t work out. There was one application for Pierogi, but that also didn’t work out. There have been zero inquiries about Wonton. So I dunno. I guess their people just aren’t ready for them yet!

Pierogi throws himself into his sleepin’.

Bowl full o’ Pierogi.

Wonton soup.

Wonton and Tortellini have a snuggle. (The moment before I took this, her tail was lying atop his head and the instant I went to take their picture, she pulled it away. Hmph.)

Speaking of Tortellini, someone who was interested in meeting her came on Saturday and met her and Iduna (the mama that Luli and Cat have been fostering – Tiffany and her girls brought Iduna so we could do a dual meet-and-greet). They thought Tortellini was cute, but really they only had eyes for Iduna. And Iduna (who is SO BEAUTIFUL) loved them back. I think every cat should have a wonderful home, of course, but I think mama kitties should have an EXTRA wonderful home, and Iduna is getting exactly that!

WILL NO ONE ADOPT THESE HIDEOUS CREATURES?

I kid. But somehow, these awesome kittens are still available for adoption. They’re 4 months old, fixed, vaccinated, and ready to get their happy-ever-after going! They’re friendly with people (Tortellini & Wonton are lapcats), get along great with other cats (Pierogi ADORES other cats) and full of enough energy to light up an entire town. They get along great with each other but are not bonded, so would be fine adopted into homes with other cats to play and snuggle with. Take one! Two! Or all three! (They’d be a great starter kit!) Email Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at INFO (at) FFHSV.ORG to inquire, or fill out an application here.

We’re located in the Huntsville, Alabama area. Out of area adoptions are allowed, but adopters must come here to complete the adoption because – well, look at those faces. You trust them behind the wheel? I don’t THINK so.

TORTELLINI (female – DOB 2-22-26) continues to be available for adoption! In her time with us, she has come to accept that being kissed is something she has to put up with, has turned into a total lapcat, has the loveliest little purr, and is happy to show off her jumping skills if you toss a ping pong ball for her. She has a LOT of energy and plays hard. Her fur is super soft and fortunately she loves to be petted! She gets along great with other cats – she MUST be in a home with another cat to play and cuddle with. If you’re looking for a pair, her siblings Pierogi and Wonton are still available, and she gets along great with them. She’s spayed vaccinated , ID chipped and ready to GO.

We are located in the Huntsville, Alabama area. Forgotten Felines does adopt out of the area but adopters must come here to complete the adoption because Tortellini refuses to listen to the GPS (she argues with it and then she calls it names. It’s all very distressing.)

WONTON (male – DOB 2-26-26) continues to be available for adoption! This boy is a total lovebug – loves to sit in your lap, loves to sit nearby and watch you work, loves to hang out when you’re doing things. He has an instant purr, loves to be kissed, and ADORES being petted. Lest you think he just sits around being full of love, let us assure you – he’s also super playful, and if you get out a feather teaser, he unleashes the crazy eyes. He gets along great with other cats – he MUST be in a home with another cat to play and cuddle with. If you’re looking for a pair, his siblings Pierogi and Tortellini are still available, and he gets along great with them. He’s neutered, vaccinated , ID chipped and ready to GO.

We are located in the Huntsville, Alabama area. Forgotten Felines does adopt out of the area but adopters must come here to complete the adoption because Wonton is easily distracted, tends to drive too slowly, and just cannot be trusted behind the wheel. Email Forgotten Felines at INFO (at) FFHSV.ORG, or fill out an online application here.

Pierogi (male – DOB 2-26-26) continues to be available for adoption! This boy not only gets along with other cats – he LOVES other cats. He assumes they’ll love him too, and it turns out he’s pretty hard for them to resist! He gets along great with humans, too – he’s not a lapcat, but he likes to hang out nearby and keep an eye on what you’re doing – and if you get out toys to toss for him, all the better since he’s SUPER playful. He MUST be in a home with another cat to play and cuddle with. If you’re looking for a pair, his siblings Wonton and Tortellini are still available, and he gets along great with them. He’s neutered, vaccinated, ID chipped and ready to GO.

We are located in the Huntsville, Alabama area. Forgotten Felines does adopt out of the area but adopters must come here to complete the adoption because Pierogi is a terrible driver and they pulled his license after his 21st speeding ticket (boy’s got a lead foot and refuses to use his turn signal), so he cannot drive himself. Email Forgotten Felines at INFO (at) FFHSV.ORG, or fill out an online application here.

Pandora and Daphne are hanging out under the cat tree where Calliope spent most of her pregnancy hanging out! They’re not sure what they think of it, but I bet they’ll learn to love it.

Good night innernets. (Cassandra)

Big doin’s in the foster room yesterday! Not only did Calliope move the kittens out of the crate (to the other side of the room) but ALSO I walked into the room to see Zephyr bellied up to Calliope’s plate of canned food – and actually EATING it. And THEN he used the litter box. TWICE! He’s the poopin’ king, apparently. (Not quite 4 weeks old is definitely earlier than I’m used to seeing a kitten eat, and eat so well at that. Usually they don’t even start showing interest in Mom’s food until at least 5 weeks. Hopefully his siblings won’t be too far behind him.)

This cat tree is LOADED. Top: Uncle Magoo. Left: Wonton. Right: Pierogi. Center: Tortellini.

Now that the kittens are out of the crate, they’re learning that they can just walk to where the milk bar is when they’re hungry. I suspect that in the days to come, the milk bar will flop down further and further from the nest.

YouTube link
Four of the five kittens are playing in the “nest”… where’s the fifth (Zephyr)? Why, he’s eating, of course. I wonder if Calliope knew when she moved the kittens how soon she was going to have to share her food!

Bath time for Zephyr – and dinner time for Daphne and Zeus. (Pandora and Cassandra were over under the cat tree, I think.)

Good night innernets. (Wonton & Tortellini)

The Greek Chorus is 4 weeks old, and this is what they look like now! In the week ahead, I predict they’ll perfect their litter box usage (I’m nearly certain that all of them have used the litter box at least once), hopefully start wandering farther from the nest. The link to the weight chart is right here – now that Zephyr is eating solid food, he’s (not surprisingly) the heaviest kitten. I suspect it’ll stay that way until his siblings figure out this “solid food” thing.

I wish this was a sharper picture, but it makes me laugh. One instant Tortellini was sitting on the bed between Uncle Magoo and Pierogi, and the next she’d launched herself into the air after the teaser I was holding.

YouTube link
Did you know Wonton plays fetch? He does, indeed – when he feels like it!

Zephyr came back from the plate of canned food, and Cassandra started licking food off his face. I guess she got a little too vigorous, because he had to deploy the Nope Paw.

YouTube link
Another round of tossing balls for Tortellini. Tortellini can JUMP – and Wonton isn’t so bad, either.

Zephyr said “Whattaya MEAN there are no vacancies at the milk bar for me? I’m hungry!” and Calliope said “You know where the food bowl is.”

Good night innernets. (Wonton)
