Sashay in the Fruitasan looking VERY pleased with herself.

This Mambo loaf (my favorite!) looks very grumpy today.

In case you were concerned, these practically-grown kittens have no problem fitting all four of themselves at the milk bar.

Mama’s keeping an eye on the kitten pie. (Tango, Sashay & Flamenco – Mambo was elsewhere.)

This ChaCha-Mambo loaf (my favorite!) is looking a little crowded. (Poor ChaCha is like “Can I get ONE MINUTE to myself?!”)

Tango peeks out from the Fruitasan.

Flamenco says “You talkin’ to me?”

Mambo (left) and Tango in my lap.

Flamenco’s eyes look so cool, with the ring of blue around the outside of her iris.

Tango says “HEY. You woke us up!” and Flamenco says “AGAIN!” and Sashay says “?”

ChaCha is starting to get annoyed by the kittens and the constant demand for nursing, so in the next couple of days I’m going to open the door between the dining room and kitchen so they’ll have more room to run and play (the dining room is pretty small). I’m also going to dig out the weansie and put it on her so that her milk can start drying up. They’ll still harass her to nurse, but if they can’t get to the milk bar, the harassment will (one hopes) lessen. We’ll see how it goes!

Waffle cracks me UP because he keeps hissing at his sisters, especially Maple. It’s not particularly vehement hissing, just a quiet little “Mind your Ps and Qs” kind of hiss as he goes by.

Maple totally ignores the hissing. You can see how unconcerned she is.

There’s a mirror on the opposite wall (over the sink) that keeps catching Muffin’s attention.

I’m going to tell you what, pictures do NOT do this boy (and his magnificent tail) justice. He is fabulous!

Waffle was watching himself in the mirror, and Mocha came to see what he was doing.

“Those mirrors are a little weird, lady.”

These guys seem pretty well acclimated to the foster room now – and also, all 4 of them come to meet me at the door now, especially first thing in the morning – so I think it’s time to throw the foster room door open and let them roam the rest of the upstairs, too. The bird feeder outside my office window has had a lot of action lately, I think once they notice the birds flitting around out there, they’ll hang out in my office with me.

Khal doesn’t mind at ALL that the weather has cooled down lately. As long as there’s sunshine, he’s a happy boy.

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr/ Bluesky) yesterday.

JUST HEAR THOSE SLEIGH BELLS JINGLING RING-TING-TINGLING TOOOOO. (Picture is from 2022 – those are then-fosters Nacho (the leaper) and Gus)

Before I moved ChaCha and the kittens downstairs to the dining room, I walked into the foster room to see Flamenco just hanging out on one of the wall shelves. Granted, it was the lowest possible wall shelf, but I was still surprised to see her up there!

Wahhh! Just a bunch of babies, is what we have here.

I wasn’t fast enough to capture a picture of it, but I walked into the room to find Maple in the top wall bed, and Mocha in the lower wall bed. I’m happy to see the climbing wall get some use! Muffin really likes to hang up there too. I haven’t seen Waffle up there yet, but maybe in time!

THOSE KITTENS SHOULD BE EATING SOLID FOOD. ::CLUTCHES PEARLS::

(They are eating solid food, but like all kittens everywhere, as long as mama will let them nurse, they’re gonna nurse!)

Former foster Arlo (formerly Nigel)! Bethany says: Arlo’s not content at all. He’s cooking by a fireplace in the fluffy bed. So sweet! (Thanks Bethany!)

I was SO sure Mambo was going to jump on top of the Fruitasan, so I waited and waited, and Mambo just sat there and said “Who, me? I’d never. I’m a good boy!” and Sashay (inside the Fruitasan) said “Mind your own beeswax, lady.”

Good night innernets. (Sashay & Mambo)

It never seems to happen, but what do you do if the kittens/mum don’t get adopted straight away? Do they go to another foster? Thanks! Sierra, East Sussex, UK

Sometimes they go to Petsmart, a pet shop that helps with adoptions. Volunteers from the rescue go in and look after them while they’re there.
I can’t remember the last time that happened for Robyn’s babies or mamas but it has happened a few times since I started following, 2020, I think.

On the picture of the leaper and the leaped on you say it is Nacho and Gus, but when I was looking at 2022 it said the leaped on was Mike? Assuming the 2022 was correct?
