Edited to add: For some reason, these links below are giving some people problems – Facebook doesn’t like the blog, sometimes – but if you search “Forgotten Felines of Huntsville auction page” from Facebook, it should come up for you. I’m sorry about that.
The Forgotten Felines of Huntsville online auction is going on RIGHT NOW. Up for bid are cool things like…
This set of Love & Hisses foster holiday cards! (There’s a set of permanent resident holiday cards, too.)
There’s already a ton of cool stuff up for bid, and new items will be added every morning. The auction ends this Saturday (the 8th) at 7 PM Central Time. So get on over, check things out, and get to bidding!

Flamenco says “Mama, stop cleaning me. I’m clean enough!”

ChaCha says “Can I ever get away from this girl?” (And Flamenco says “NOPE!”)

Tango in the Adirondack chair.

And Sashay. Such little posers!

“You gots a kiss for me, lady?” wonders Mambo. (Of course I did!)

Flamenco’s such a cutie (and ChaCha doesn’t look particularly charmed!)
Those pictures were all taken before I moved ChaCha and the kittens downstairs to the dining room. Because in the foster room for the next little while are the Luli & Cat Brunch Bunch! You remember them, right?

Maple (former foster Dillydally.)

Waffle again. Fred said “I forgot how STUNNING he is!”

Muffin (former foster Ouiser.)

And Mocha (not a former foster).
We’ve hosted Waffle, Muffin and Maple before – last October, and last December – but this is the first time I’ve met Mocha. She was a little nervous for the first few days, and will still run behind the couch to hide if she hears a strange noise, but yesterday morning all four of them met me at the door, and she has come to me to be petted more than once.
They’re a sweet bunch, and I’m going to give them a few more days to acclimate, then I’ll open the foster room door during the day and let them have access to the entire upstairs.
Waffle, Muffin and Maple definitely remember being here before, and Maple especially took it all in stride. I don’t think anything fazes that girl!

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr/ Bluesky) this weekend.

Happy Halloween, from Tina, who we fostered last year (and early this year) and was, indeed, a lil devil (but the BEST poser who would cheerfully put up with ALL of my nonsense.)

Happy Halloween from little punkin Flamenco!

Happy Halloween! Calamity Jane (2020) has some cattle to round up, so git along little dogies.

Happy Halloween! (Mister Boogers, 2009)

“Sounds like someone’s got a case of the Halloweens!”
Kirk (2023) wishes you a Happy Halloween (and is gonna need you to go ahead and come in on Saturday.)

“Moo.” Happy Halloween! (Sugarbutt, 2014)

Happy Halloween, from little ray of sun(flower) ChaCha, who put up with wearing that hat much better than I expected. (Never stopped purring!)

Happy Halloween! 2020 fosters Porthos (left) and D’Artagnan were the BEST little posers.

Happy Halloween! (Chicken Jake, 2010.)

Flamenco wishes you a Happy Halloween from the pumpkin patch.

Happy Halloween from Janeway, who we fostered in 2023, and who’s doing her very best Jack o’ Lantern impression. (And it’s a good one!)

Hi ho, it’s Alice the Frog, and she hopes you have a Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween from punkinheads Mambo (left) and Tango! (Who refused to wear hats, but stayed in the pumpkin tin long enough for me to grab this picture. Good enough!)

Happy Halloween! Tater Tot – 2020 – says “Don’t make me get out my wand, lady.”

Happy Halloween! (Tina, 2024-2025, who really was SUCH a good little poser!)

“Howdy and Happy Halloween!” (Buffalo Bill, 2020)

Happy Halloween! The Flamenco Rat-tini is the signature cocktail for Halloween 2025. Better grab yours!

Little Stefan on the Prairie’s gonna go churn that butter, but is pausing to wish you a Happy Halloween! (2016)

Happy Halloween! (I took one BAZILLION pictures of these four in front of the Halloween blanket, and this is the ONLY one where you could see all four faces. Getting them to actually look at me? Well THAT is a work in progress, my friends. From left: Sashay, Tango, Mambo & Flamenco)

Happy Halloween! (Sydney, 2024. The kitten didn’t take kindly to strangers.)

Here he comes to save the day! Mighty Rhus is on his way! (Rochefort, 2020 – he’s now Rhus, which works better in this instance.) Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! (Porthos, 2020, is waiting for the bat signal. Or maybe he IS the bat signal!)

Finishing off this crazy day of posting Halloween(ish) pics is my very favorite: our sweet boy Dennis from 2016. He was the BEST, and I miss him every day. Hope your Halloween was as wonderful as you are. ❤️ Thanks for letting me flood your timeline!

Rabbit rabbit rabbit.  (ChaCha) Wikipedia: “Rabbit rabbit rabbit” – a superstition in Britain & North America wherein a person says/repeats the words “rabbit”, “rabbits” and/or “white rabbits” aloud upon waking on the 1st day of a month, ensuring good luck for the rest of it.

Flamenco sound asleep with her feets in the air, and Sashay snuggled against my leg. Now THIS is how you spend a Saturday morning.

Tiny Dancers: Mambo will NOT be sharing his toy today, thank you

ChaCha’s had about enough of Flamenco’s shenanigans and nonsense… but she’s so CUTE.

Mambo, Sashay and Tango are doing a lot of jumping, running and climbing today!

Mambo at the milk bar, Flamenco, Tango and Sashay piled up in the pink bed. What a bunch of slackers.

Surprise! We’re cat sitting the Luli & Cat Brunch Bunch while their family goes on vacation for a bit. In the pink wall bed is Muffin (former foster Ouiser, 2023). On the rainbow rug is Maple (former foster Dillydally). Also on the rainbow rug is floofily fabulous Waffle (who we did not foster, but we love ‘im anyway!) and the only non-ornj kitty of the bunch is Mocha (we didn’t foster her either, but we also love her!) I’ve moved ChaCha and the kittens down to the dining room, and have given these guys the foster room. They are SUCH a sweet bunch!

Good night innernets. (Mambo & Flamenco)

ChaCha and the Tiny Dancers are now occupying the dining room (we’re catsitting the Luli & Cat Brunch Bunch kitties, who are now in the foster room, in case you missed that). I moved their favorite things down into the dining room, and they’ve been having a blast. To be honest, I’m not entirely sure they realize they’ve been moved! That’s Mambo in the Fruitasan, Sashay in the pie plate, Flamenco on the Adirondack chair, and Tango sitting on the rug watching me.

A Sashay/Flamenco pie. (My favorite!)

I swear, these kittens live life like they’re stuck in fast forward!

Our guests – the Luli & Cat Brunch Bunch, who we’re catsitting while their family is on vacation – are settling in well. Maple (former foster Dillydally, upper left) has taken the whole thing in stride, as expected. Waffle (upper right) hung out in the donut for a few hours, but has been out and about ever since. Muffin (former foster Ouiser, lower left) hid for about a day, but she’s now out and about and will climb into my lap for snuggles. Mocha (lower right) is out and about, but will hide behind the couch when we first walk into the room – but then comes over for petting. She’s still a little nervous about us, which makes sense – we were total strangers to her, after all. I suspect we’ll be friends before too long.

Playing Fetch with ChaCha!

Tango’s about to put the ol’ chomperoo on Sashay, and could she look any less concerned? She knows she can kick his butt.

A bounce here, a skitter there… The kittens are just crazypantsing it up all over the place!

Good night innernets. (Top: Flamenco & Tango Bottom: Sashay & Mambo)

Love those Halloween pics! Also, the new backgrounds really add to some of them. You’re getting good at Photoshopping…or is it AI?
Photoshopping – PicMonkey, to be exact. I don’t do AI (Fred does, but I am.. not a fan. Except when AI writes amusing songs about kittens. But that was Fred’s doing, not fine. 🙂 )
I’d love to see the fabulous Waffle and the magnificent Khal side by side, though I realize that’s not going to happen. So! Much! Floof!
That would be a VERY floofy pic!
Haha, spikey Sydney. I remember the day she met Uncle Charlie.
Thank you for posting all the Halloween pictures. It’s always cute to see cats in silly hats. Including my favorite, Alice the Frog. 🙂
