So Natalia was a pet at some point, since she has been spayed and tattooed? I guess it wasn’t a traceable tattoo and no chip. Thank goodness she was found, and hopefully she has a new family coming soon.

When I hear stories like Natalia’s I always worry if there actually is a good, heart-broken, family who had something awful happen (careless workmen in the house leaving a door open, careless cat-sitter, etc.) and is truly missing that sweet kitty. Is there a “lost pet” FB page or something like that down there?

The tattoo that the spay/neuter clinic does is just a green line that confirms that the cat has been spayed/neutered, in case there’s any question. I haven’t seen the tattoo on Natalia (because she doesn’t stop squirming around), but I assume it’s similar. She wasn’t chipped, and I’ve been watching the Lost & Found FB pages (and scrolled back through the beginning of October) and haven’t seen any missing cats who look like her. She’s very clearly been someone’s pet in the past, I wish she could tell us her story. (This is why I highly recommend microchipping your kitties!)

  4. How comfy-cozy do these babies look! It makes me feel warmer just looking at them.

    I’m going to miss Josephine and Gabrielle, but happy for them! Did I miss Natalia’s backstory or will we hear about it soon?

    1. Natalia’s back story is at the bottom of Wednesday’s entry, when I introduced her. (Long story short: showed up stray, don’t know where she came from. She was already spayed, had clearly been inside before, but isn’t microchipped.)

  5. Is Natalia headed for PetSmart? If not, how long is she in residence? Really hope she doesn’t have an owner pining for her. It would be a tragedy. Finders keepers, right?

    1. She had a meet & greet last night that went very well, so she may be going home straight from here.

      According to the lady who dropped her off with me, she’s been around since October and no one in the neighborhood knew where she came from. I’ve thoroughly checked out the local Lost & Found Facebook pages and haven’t seen anything, though of course I keep an eye on those pages anyway, so if she pops up I’ll see her. I hate to think she was dumped or left behind, but it sure looks that way.
