Zeus is TOO TOO TOO cute. (And he knows it.)

Pandora needed a nap, apparently. I love it when they curl up in the ham-mick.

Sleepy time for Zeus and Zephyr too.

Zephyr has a cuddle (and, I am sure, an eventual tussle) with Cassandra.

Pandora watchin’ birds. Daphne watchin’ ME.

Yes, I got the weansie out for Calliope. Sometimes when the kittens are swarming her and trying to nurse* she gets overwhelmed. If I put the weansie on her, the kittens will still swarm her, but they settle down for a snuggle instead of trying to suck the life out of her, and she’s okay with that. I don’t leave it on her all the time because most of the time she’s pretty good at telling them “no” and walking away. But when all 5 of them come at her, it’s harder to walk away. (She is still occasionally letting them nurse. If her milk isn’t dried up once they’re spayed/neutered in two weeks, I’ll get serious about separating her from them and keeping the weansie on her when they’re together.)
*They will nurse – or attempt to nurse – forEVER.
PS: I was telling Fred about putting the weansie on Calliope, couldn’t think of the words “weansie” OR “onesie” and called it “her nighty” and Fred was so amused that that’s what we’re calling it now.

Rocco climbed the cat fence into the back yard*, and is RAAAAATHER pleased with himself. (Luckily, he knows not to do it when Charlie is around because that… would not be pretty.)
*The cat fence – it’s from Purrfect Fence – is made to keep our cats contained to the back yard. It doesn’t stop stray cats from getting INto our back yard, but luckily that doesn’t happen very often, except when Rocco decides to come to visit.

Y’all did such a good job of telling me what color Calliope’s eyes are (many, many suggestions for Peridot, a stone I was previously unaware of, but I totally agree now!) Now you can tell me what colors the kittens’ eyes are – the Picmonkey dropper gave me these Hex code numbers and Google gave me the color descriptions. I honestly would have called their eyes all some shade of brown with the slightest hint of green around the edges, but I’ve never been great with my colors. I do like the sound of “olive gold” (Daphne) What say you?
Cassandra: #918976: “grey orange”
Daphne: #9d9064: “olive gold”
Pandora: #9a825f: “muted sienna”
Zephyr: #8e7756: “shadow”
Zeus: #726046: “dark desaturated orange”

Making themselves at home on and around my desk! Cassandra and Pandora on the top of the tree, Zeus on the next level down, Calliope and Daphne in the bed on my desk, and Zephyr next to them (as close as possible to my keyboard, of course.)

This is the CUTEST THING EVER (sorry it’s so short.) Calliope was being loud, so I asked her about using her indoor voice. She gave me a silent meow, and it was so cute that I had to abruptly end the video and go pick her up and kiss her 1,000 times.

“ROWR, I am fearsome!” says Cassandra.

Fred got out the da bird (feather teaser) to see if the kittens and Magoo would play together, and it mostly turned into The Magoo Show, but some of the kittens got in there. Daphne kept hissing at Magoo, which is why you hear me guffawing like a dork so many times.

Another shot of Zeus in the hammock. He loves that thing!

Good night innernets. (Daphne)
