In case you missed it…

Momos went home yesterday!
She went locally (about half an hour away) and joins a family that includes a young kitty who needs a friend – and who looks very much like Momos! They haven’t decided on a name for her yet – and said that the name Momos is growing on them, so she may stay Momos. I will, of course, share any updates I get.
Today’s post has the rest of the pictures I took that include Momos.

Hanging out with her brothers while Pierogi sniffs out the situation. (This picture cracks me UP. Kittens spend 75% of their time sniffing each others’ butts, I swear.)

Getting some sunshine – and a check-in from Milo and Natalie.

I keep hoping I’ll walk into the room to find all the kittens piled up in that hammock bed, but so far the most I’ve seen in it at any one time is two. Usually it’s only one.

Sleepy girl. (I think she looks like a patchwork quilt.)

I love that little smile on her face.

Sleeping again! (Little slacker.)
This leaves us with Pierogi, Tortellini and Wonton, and of course Calliope, who I was SO SURE was going to have her kittens this past weekend. But NOPE. I even set up the crate in the corner of the foster room and I’ll give you one guess as to who has shown zero interest in that crate.

Khal enjoyed some sunshine Saturday morning, and it’s a good thing – it rained all day yesterday, and the forecast for the week looks like we won’t be seeing the sun again anytime soon.

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr/ Bluesky/Threads) this weekend.

This little gang of ruffians (from left: Wonton (m), Pierogi (m), and Tortellini (f) ) are still available for adoption! I am not biased (ha ha), and I can tell you they’re great kittens (visitors to the foster room would like you to know that Tortellini is incredibly soft!) Take one! Take two! Take all three (they’d be a great starter kit. Just sayin’.) Email Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at info (at) ffhsv.org to inquire or fill out an online application here. They are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, ID chipped, and ready to GO.
We’re located in the Huntsville, Alabama area. Out of area adoptions are allowed (we’ve adopted to Seattle and Sacramento and other far-flung places that do not start with “S”) but adopters must come here to complete the adoption. Can you imagine these three on a road trip? They’d be stopping at every gas station, complaining about how they don’t carry Churu, and arguing about what “left” and “right” mean.

🎉 Former foster Rupert (formerly Richie) gets a snuggle. Sharon reports that Pip – formerly Carmy – is too busy for much snuggling, but Rupert is a total lapcat. So sweet! (Thanks, Sharon!)

Bao & Khinkali were adopted (together) yesterday! Here’s their video of pictures I took of them from the time they came to me until the time they left. They are one photogenic pair!

I love this shot of Tortellini through Calliope’s whiskers.

I piled everything on the couch so I could vacuum and mop the foster room, and it was the most excitement Momos and Wonton have had in WEEKS, apparently.

🎉 Former fosters Khinkali and Bao are settling in really well. And Erin reports that they’re the sweetest! (I’d agree with that!) Look at those sweet, content little faces. ❤️ (Thanks, Erin!)

Good night innernets. (Tortellini)

Calliope says “Excuse you, my eyes are up HERE.”

🎉 Former foster Dahlia (formerly Hazel) and Dandelion were napping, and Tabatha so ruuudely woke them up. The NERVE. (Thanks, Tabatha!)

Pierogi’s just hangin’ out, having a thought. (If you are struck with the urge to squoosh and kiss him, please know that I took care of that as soon as I took this picture.)

Tortellini pie! (My favorite!) (Apparently there IS such a thing as tortellini pie – Tortellini Bolognese pasticcio (or timballo) is a pastry encased pasta pie filled with tortellini, Bolognese sauce and grated Parmigiano. Good to know!)

Tossing ping pong balls for the kittens – and Tortellini still has those moves! (I like the way I say “Okay, one left!” and then proceed to throw like 10 more balls.)

Couch potatoes Wonton (left) and Pierogi catch a little sunshine.

Pierogi readies his slappin’ paw.

I walked into the room to see these guilty little faces.

After finding the bed on the floor for the third time in a couple of days, I thought “How does this keep happening?!” I had assumed, the first time, that they’d accidentally knocked the bed onto the floor and it somehow got dragged into the litter closet. Went to the Nest cameras to see what happened and it turns out Pierogi wanted to play with that bed, so he dragged it down his own self. In related news: Pierogi is surprisingly strong.

I’ve started putting this decoy plate (there’s food on it) on the floor while I prepare their breakfast (or dinner). It distracts them enough so that they’re not trying to climb my legs while I’m opening cans and by the time they finish what’s there, their REAL dinner (or breakfast) is ready. I’m a genius! ::takes a bow::

Hooray, hooray, Momos was adopted and went home today! She joins a family that includes a young kitty (named Beans!) who looks VERY much like Momos and needs a friend. They haven’t decided on a name yet (she might remain Momos). Happy life, sweet girl! ❤️

Good night innernets. (Wonton)

Every time you have a few kittens/cats who take a minute to find their people, I get the crazy urge to drive down to Alabama (from PA) and adopt them! I’ve been following you since 2009 or so, around The Office and True Blood litters, and it is my dream to adopt some Love and Hisses kitties. Maybe someday!
Yay for Momos and her family!
