Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr/ Bluesky) yesterday.
It’s a Benji pie, with a Baby Frog garnish! (My favorite!)
In May of 2005, I was on the mailing list for a local cat rescue, Challenger’s House, from whom we’d adopted a couple of our cats. One day I received an email that they were looking for someone to foster a mother and her kittens. I talked Fred into giving it a try, and we were off to the races. 20 years later, we’re up to 569 cats and kittens fostered, and I’ve loved every single one of them. ❤ This is a picture of our first foster family – Mia and her 5 kittens Peanut, Flossie, Edgar, Snoopy and Oy.

Nigel’s jump about 15 seconds in is NOT to be missed. Also, I must say “Get him, Hazel!” about 100 times a day.
Sebastian and the ol’ razzle dazzle.

Monty’s scampering around while Margarita (Little Mouse) watches him with big eyes. Nigel is floofed up for reasons known only to himself, and eventually he shows the others who the boss is.
Hazel wants to know… “Is this a BED or is it a wrasslin’ ring?” Looks like it’s both!
Good night innernets. (From left: Monty, Benji and Matilda)

I wonder….How many are traps? But so so tempting 🙂 and delightful
I literally snorted my coffee when I read about the Tummy Emporium 🙂 And, of course, I read it in the style of an old timey circus barker
Love Benji’s pointed toes in the last pic! So refined!
Kudos to you and Fred for 20 years (20 years!!!!) of giving so many kitties the chance for their best lives in forever homes. And thanks for taking us all along for the ride!
Please, I will have one of the Extra Large servings !!!
20 years — !!!! Wow, simply amazing. So many memories… glad they’re captured on this blog!!
I joined in during the Brady Bunch era, so I’ve been here for a while, but not the whole time. Interestingly, perhaps, I first saw your Brady Bunch pictures on flickr; your photos were either featured in one of their spotlights or something or maybe I was just poking around randomly (I don’t quite remember how that went), and since it was kittens, I was all about that! So then I started checking out your pictures there regularly, but it was a while before I realized there was a blog!! (I’m not sure how I eventually became aware of the blog, but somehow I did…) And then I started getting the full stories and the benefit of your delightful captions, and that was it, I was hooked!! 🙂
20 years of special love and care from 2 very special people. And bless you both for sharing and taking us along. I hope there are many more years to come of, eye openings, ears popping up and opening, crate, escapes, milk bar gatherings, tummy rubs, thlurps days, churro times, permanent resident pictures and visits, oh and the freeloading Rocco. Thank you.
