Your weekly reminder: the 2026 Love & Hisses calendars are now available! Click on the link below, or over there in the sidebar. (I’ll remind y’all about once a week through the end of the year about the calendars – and there are always links in the sidebar!)

PLEASE NOTE: Zazzle has a presence in other countries – check here to see if yours is one of them. If so, you can add store/loveandhisses on the end of the url to look at the calendars and have them sent to you from your own country (which should be cheaper than having them shipped from the US.)

Tango looking through the door between the dining room and kitchen…

“Who are YOU, Mister?!” I love that Rocco (who was taking his daily trip through the house) was trying to sniff Tango’s paw.

Then Tango walked away and Flamenco came to see what was going on… which got ChaCha’s attention.

ChaCha sniffed and sniffed at the bottom of the door, and then she hissed ever so gently.

Which made Flamenco put on her floof suit, and she was all “MAMA, WHAT WAS THAT?!”

ChaCha reassured her girls that Rocco was gone. Flamenco kept her floof suit on, just in case.

“That was a scary noise you made, Mama,” said Flamenco.
“I had to show that other kitty not to mess with me!” said ChaCha.

ChaCha’s response to Rocco was really very calm – I actually think that IF IT WERE NOT FOR CHARLIE – it’d be okay to let her run around the house. Alice and Khal certainly wouldn’t care. However, Charlie caught sight of her through the door shortly after we moved her and the kittens into the dining room, and he lost his ever-loving mind. (And this is why, if you look closely at some pictures, you’ll see that the door between the dining room and living room is blocked with a flattened cardboard box, so Charlie can’t see into the dining room. And the door between the kitchen and living room (which is a solid door with no windows) is closed at all times. Why you gotta be a jerk, Charlie?)

Sashay and Tango are all “HEY. We sleepin’ here!”

ChaCha was sitting in my lap, and Tango climbed up to see what was going on. He saw the milk bar and said “Don’t mind if I do!” ChaCha’s face is cracking me UP.

Maple and Muffin are keeping an eye on me. Have I mentioned that I’m thrilled that they’re using the wall shelves and beds? I love it!

Mocha took Waffle’s spot in the top of the cat tree, and he just shrugged and found somewhere else to hang out. He’s such a good boy.

Honestly, these four are such a sweet and polite bunch!

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr/ Bluesky) yesterday.

It’s a Tango in a giant mug!

(Yes he is actually IN a mug – a 64 ounce mug, to be exact. The only photoshopping is where I removed “coffee” and replaced it with “Tango.” It took about 6 tries to get him to stay in the mug and look at me. WORTH IT.)

Mambo’s trying to pick a fight with ChaCha, who is halfheartedly fighting with him, but mostly wondering if he’s lost his little bitty mind.

The Brunch Bunch has such GORGEOUS eyes! (Top left: Maple – former foster Dillydally. Top right: Muffin – former foster Ouiser. Bottom left: Mocha. Bottom right: Waffle)

ChaCha’s in my lap having some snuggles and petting whilst her kittens run around like little hooligans. (Featuring Fred coughing in the background, because if you don’t hear Fred coughing or my stomach growling, is it really a Love & Hisses video?)

ChaCha loaf with a side of the ol’ razzle dazzle! (My favorite!)

Sashay in the spiral tunnel. She loves that thing (they all do!)

Good night innernets. (Tango)
