Kim’s spay was re-scheduled for Friday due to a scheduling conflict. As long as it happens this week, I’ll be happy!

Notes: (1) Yes, they are eating solid food on their own. They will continue to nurse whenever Mama allows it. That is how kittens are; they don’t know that sometimes strangers on the internet disapprove vehemently about things that don’t impact their lives in any way, and feel compelled to leave comments expressing their vehement disapproval. (2) Yes, she will be spayed (in 2 days, in fact). They are all fosters for a rescue; she and her kittens will all be spayed/neutered before they are adopted.

I would not have expected Lalo to be able to pull off this particular trick, but the boy always surprises me!


Gus (left) and Francesca in my lap. I find the difference in their eye color at this point to be fascinating (her eyes are greener than they appear in this picture. I’m hoping to get up-close eye pictures for a collage later this week.)

  3. Seventh photo down, captioned “And Francesca, Saul and Nacho curl up in the basket for a nap.” – Missed a Lalo in that one. Looked like some bedding, but fairly certain that is a Lalo squished in back there.

  4. Ha. The only way you might have been clearer in that first social media post is to say that “the kittens don’t give a hoot what you think of their nursing, and neither does Mama. She’s in charge, and all are healthy and happy, so I don’t either.”

    1. Sometimes people gotta be told! (And to be clear – it’s NEVER a regular reader/commenter. It’s always someone who comes stumbling across the picture, have NO idea who I am, and decide that I am utterly clueless and need to be told How It Is.)
