It’s a Moop on the tree, hangin’ out.

And a Calais, on the same tree (different level), doing the same thing.

Bethel, ditto. I guess we can say that these kittens are tree dwellers!

Arundel on the bottom level, planning her next move.

Apparently everyone suddenly needed to sharpen their claws.

Little poser Millinocket.

Eliot hanging out in a paper bag, waiting for her next victim.

We got this tunnel from Jennifer (mama to Percy & Jack, formerly Starsky & Hutch)(holy COW I can’t believe that was 8 years ago!) earlier this year. Her guys wouldn’t/couldn’t use it, so she sent it along to me. When the Olympians were allowed to have the run of the upstairs, I put it out for them to try, and they all ignored it. This litter, however, thinks it’s cool. Moop likes to just hang out in it, Arundel likes to hang out in it and zip out, smack a passing kitten, and then zip back into the tunnel (I like to say she’s doing her trapdoor spider impression.)

Dexter in his hammock.

“Hey!” says Otis. “What’re you doing down there?”
“Takin’ a nap. What are YOU doing up THERE?” says Buxton.
“Lookin’ for trouble.”

And a halfhearted slap fight ensued.

Newtles through the glass. (I took the picture from outside; he’s hanging in the kitchen cubby, near the sink.)

2014: “Well, I don’t like the sound of THAT.”
2013: It’s the one where they go on vacation to Hawaii and Arya ends up hanging off a cliff and a stranger saves her by grabbing her hair and pulling her back up the cliff! This one always gives me goosebumps.
2012: Thistle having a little alone time in HER box.

2005: So Rambo had his belly shaved, too, and he and Jodie are awfully funny looking, laying around with their little shaved bellies.

  1. Every time, I think “how is Robyn going to be able to give these kittens up??” I just love Otismallow and Moop, but, really, they are all my favorites.

And 9 years ago, it was the True Bloods! I think that was when I started reading Love and Hisses.

    • I think a lot of us got to know Robyn through the True Bloods. Wow, what a wonderful ride it has been!! (Despite the tears for the beloved perms who left us!)

    • Oh, those True Bloods were somethin’ special, weren’t they? Worrying about them as they recovering from their surgeries stressed me out so much, but they all came through so beautifully!

    • There’s something about black kitties that makes them look incredibly regal.

  2. This is really making me want to buy bigger scratching posts and cat trees for our little ones to sit in. Adorable post friends <3
