What ever happened to the mother of the kittens?
She’s been spayed and is currently still at Michelle’s house. The initial plan was for her to be returned to an outside location, but they opted not to do that. I’m not sure what the plan is now.

Have I mentioned that Nigel’s a talker? True story!
Monty says “You got toys, lady? I ain’t got no toys. Nope, not a one!”
Sebastian enjoys hanging out on Fred’s slipper.
Monty (left) and Margarita temporarily turned the cube into a tent.
Sebastian says “Wait for me! Wait for me!”
Hazel says “Nigel’s not the only talker, I can talk TOO! I just don’t have as much to say as he does!”

Say hello to our new foster! Her name is Lilia.
Lilia showed up as a stray somewhere in Huntsville, and when she started looking obviously pregnant, she came to Forgotten Felines. She’s been at Michelle’s for a little while, and yesterday morning I went to get her. She’s set up in the little room off of my bedroom that I refer to as my office.
I would ordinarily let her settle in for a few days before I introduce her, but I think she’ll be having kittens sooner rather than later, so here she is!
Her kittens will get names that start with M, N, O, P & Q (and further along the alphabet if need be!) and they’ll be collectively referred to as the Alphabet Soup Gang. She came pre-named and the naming theme came along with her, which honestly makes things easier for me.
She’ll be in my office for the next few weeks. Once Benji goes home and Nigel, Hazel, Monty and Matilda are (preferably) adopted or go to Petsmart, she’ll move into the foster room and Sebastian and Margarita will likely have the run of the house during the day and will sleep with me at night (we’ll see how that goes.)

Charlie and Khal, being slackers.

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr/ Bluesky) yesterday.
“What doin’, lady?” wonders Nigel.
Sebastian is still taking a bottle. He gets a bottle twice a day, and he enjoys it quite a bit. (The formula is watered down; he’s getting most of his calories from solid food at this point. Why’s he still getting a bottle? Because he wants it. You got a problem with that?)

Monty’s favorite toy is always there, and always juuuust out of reach!
It’s a Monty pie with a sprinkling of attitude. (My favorite!)

Surprise! Say howdy to new foster Lilia, who is currently in my office. Yes, she is a very cute calico, and yes she is pregnant. I would ordinarily let her settle in for a couple of days before introducing her, but I’m pretty sure she’s going to have kittens any minute now. (A couple of days at the most, is what I’m predicting, but I wouldn’t be surprised to find kittens by morning.)
She’s 1 1/2 – 2 years old, showed up as a stray in Huntsville. She hung around, then started looking very pregnant, so she came to Forgotten Felines. I’m mostly letting her settle in before I get all pushy with trying to feel her belly. I’ve had her about 4 hours at this point, and she’s very sweet and likes to cuddle. She’s all set up in the room I call my office, where she’ll be for the next couple of weeks; once Benji goes home and Nigel, Hazel, Monty and Matilda are either adopted or go to Petsmart, she’ll move to the foster room and Sebastian and Margarita will have the run of the house for a few weeks.
Her kittens will have names that start with M, N, O, P & Q (and further along the alphabet if need be!) and they’ll collectively be known as the Alphabet Soup Gang.
Hazel and Matilda are all “Tryin’ to take a nap here, lady.”
Good night innernets. (Sebastian)

I like how Lilia looks like a torty from above and a calico from below. And how cool is is that her belly just misses being a checkerboard pattern!
Also, Charlie and Khal are NOT being slackers. It’s called energy efficiency, thank you very much. (I recognize it because it’s a personal superpower.)
Aw Lilia is lovely!! What a big low stomach, i see why you think she might have kittens very soon. A house-full for you!
Lila looks very sweet. And I did go ahead and make a list of name suggestions. Even though you probably have some picked already. It’s just fun to search.
