Can you believe that these little monkeys are SIX weeks old now?
First, their comparison shots, side by side. On the left, they were 3 days old. On the right, 6 weeks old.
And now their posed (kinda) shots. Can you tell some of them wanted NO PART of having their picture taken?
Rickles. This looks SO much like a school picture pose to me.
At weigh-in yesterday, Rickles continued to be the biggest of the litter, weighing in at 1 pound, 13 ounces. I wouldn’t be terribly surprised if he hits 2 pounds by next week, in fact I expect it. Shecky wasn’t far behind, at 1 pound 11 ounces. Skelton was next, at 1 pound 10 ounces. Belushi was a respectably 1 pound, 9 ounces. Gilda was 1 pound, 8 ounces, and Louis and Roseanne continue to bring up the rear at 1 pound, 7 ounces each.
Unfortunately, Lucy lost weight over the past week, dropping down to 7 pounds, 14 ounces. She suddenly came down with diarrhea, and it took a few days to get it under control. She’s fine now, and eating up a storm, so I expect she’ll put that weight right back on.
You can see the weight chart at the bottom of their page, here.
Since it’s Thursday, we’ll do a bit of a Throwback Thursday, with some pictures I stumbled across on my hard drive. They’re only from two weeks ago, but that’s in the past, so I think it counts!
Louis under the scratcher. Already, he looks so much older to me!
More Louis. Oh, those electric blue eyes!
Belushi in my lap, getting stepped on.
Another shot of Louis under the scratcher. Oh, those stripes!
Louis and Shecky, in my lap. Probably fighting.
Louis has a theme song.
2014: Check out that sashay.
2013: “WHAT YOU DOIN’ LADY? MAMA, THERE’S A LADY. AND SHE’S SITTING THERE AND WATCHING ME.”
2012: No entry.
2011: No entry.
2010: Doesn’t he totally look like a Buster?
2009: These kittens love their sleep.
2008: Kara and the babies are continuing to kill me with the cute.
2007: Stupid weeds.
2006: No entry.
2005: No entry.
Belushi looks like he’s totally over the novelty of the clicking, hand-held contraption you hold in your hands and point in his direction, Lady!
Lol, Skelton licking your finger.
They seem ENORMOUS, but when you think about it… I carry more than 2lbs in my backpack to work everyday! (Wish it could include a kitten though, dammit.)
Don’t we all wish we could take a kitten to work? Imagine the stress levels: nonexistent. Instead of boring old meetings, we would all get together and watch the kittens play. If some business got discussed, fine.
I brought three sleepy foster kittens to a Jaycees board meeting once. It was the most relaxed, congenial meeting we ever had! Can’t get angry when holding a fuzzy purring furbaby.
haha or launched a kitten at an annoying colleague and say, “OOPS!”
Louis’ theme song just killed me dead! I think EVERY kitten needs a theme song! (no pressure)
They DO look like class photos! But the one that cracked me up today was Rickles talking to the wall. Ohhh, if only we knew what that conversation was about….
When I see Louis, I hear your voice in my head saying “DA BAY-BEE” and I’m pretty sure it’s because I’ve actually heard you say that… but I can’t remember which kitten you used to say it to (it must have been in a video at some point) and it’s driving me cuckoo! I want to say it was Stompers but then I think it might have been Tony RH Pickle… AGGGH!
That theme song cracked me up!
I’m with Brigitte….I need a kitten in my backpack, too (yes, I will buy a backpack just to get a kitten!)!!!!
So the kittens altogether now outweigh their mama!
I made another weight chart! Now with more kitten pics! http://i.imgur.com/tsSBT7C.gif
oh Louis….you are mom’s favorite 🙂
Is little Louis a little pop-eyed? It always looks like he has one eye here in reality and one eye roaming a distant dimension.
OMC! They are all so squee worthy!
love the mug-shots :p
Louis looked like he’s sorry he got caught! Rickles was totally, “I’m sorry for doing it.” and Roseanne,”I’ll escape!”, Skelton, “can I bribe you?”
I love the picture of Belushi at the top. So resigned to his fate. 🙂
It’s like he’s saying “Let’s just get this over with, already, …, okay?”
OK-tooooooo much adorable in one spot! Those eyes, those stripes, those attitudes!!!
