Praline was sitting on this shelf next to the crate and she couldn’t figure out the sounds she was hearing from the other side of that “wall.”

Puzzling.

I always get a little tense when someone sits on top of the cubby like that, but have yet to see anyone actually fall off it. They’re good with their claws, those kittens.

Being this cute is EXHAUSTING.

Beignet, sound asleep while her sisters tussle next to her.

Blue’s your color, little man.

He is such a lapkitten.

Roux will have you know that she is NOT responsible for the damage to this scratcher. It was a previous litter. REALLY.

Praline and Beignet. Aren’t they just the cutest?

“WE IS THE CUTEST!”

“Don’t look, Ethel!”

I weighed the kittens yesterday – a day late for their 5-week weigh-in – and Praline is the heaviest kitten at just over 1 1/2 pounds. Andouille’s not far behind, at just under 1 1/2 pounds. You can see all their weights on their page. Everyone’s eating well, obviously!

Videos! In the first, I’ve got Andouille spitting (I actually got a short video of him spitting at me last night at bedtime, which I posted on Instagram). All of the kittens spit now and again, and it’s never when I have them on camera. UNTIL NOW.

In the second, Andouille and Beignet have the zoomies – and poor Nola is unfortunately a speed bump in the way. Not that it slows them down!

::thlurrrp!:: Is Dennis not the most gorgeous boy? Don’t even bother to answer. You know he is!

  1. I love so many things about today’s post:
    1) The first picture (Praline) – mercy, how cute is she???
    2) Beignet sleeping, ya just wanna boop or kiss her nose…or both!
    3) Andouille’s color is blue. Can you just imagine him all grown up, a big ol puff ball with those baby blues…? sigh….
    4) Roux and the scratcher – good thing I am at work before others because I literally LOL’d.
    5) Andouille spitting….Bwwwaaaaahhhhhhh…
    6) Dennis – MUAH!
    6) Beignet has a LOT of powder sugar on her back legs, too!

    6) Nola has the patience of a saint!
    7)

  2. Floofy orange and white lapcat. That one’s going to have a home in nothing flat. I gotta admit I like Beignet’s independence, though, and the other two are bouncy-adorbs.

  3. Awww, Praline looking through the crate window at Beignet … that head tilt ♥

The 2014 entry – “Not the sharpest tool in the shed, but I’m prettyyyyyyy.” – is actually about Dennis and how he needs a home 🙂

  4. I have to comment just for the Ray Stevens reference. This litter is so delightful! Beignet is especially cute today.

  5. I am seriously going to have to request you stop posting photos of Andouille (aka Dewie in my head) because seriously.

you are killing us with his cuteness. Please tell me someone has stepped up to adopt him..
