On Wednesdays, we leap.

Winn Dixie’s face is KILLING ME DEAD. Also, her ear floof is outta control.

Von shows off her spotted belleh.

Open Mouth of Outrage whilst leaping. That Ralph, he’s a talented one.

“Come ON, teaser! Get in my mouth!”

Tandem sister jumping, with Ralph and Catelyn looking on.

Racing for the teaser.

Ralph totally looks like he’s been thrown across the room.

SuperCate’s on the way!

Ralph is Drama Kitty. “But soft, what light through yonder feather teases? It is the east and I am in the sun.”

Catelyn looks like she’s playing Fruit Ninja.

She can get some height when she wants to.

That’s quite the twisty jump Winn Dixie’s got going on.

Amazingly enough, she actually didn’t land on Catelyn when she came down from this jump.

“HOW did I get up here, and how do I get DOWN?!”

Miss Vonnie jumping from the tree to the bed. Love those stripes!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“I ain’t interested in leaping today, lady. Just move, so I can find a warm, cozy bed.” Stefan, I’m amazed you were awake long enough to go outside. There must have been some food out there you needed to Hoover up.
    I love Stefan. He’s so gorgeous! I also love that he sleeps all the time…sounds like my kind of cat πŸ™‚
      I agree. It didn’t take me long at all to fall in love with Stefan. He’s so awesome I’d like to see more posts of him but, really, that would just be several pictures of him sleeping in various beds throughout the house LOL
    WHAT GREAT PICTURES TODAY!!! SUPER-DUPER ACTION SHOTS!!!
      GD–you took the words right out of my mouth (errrhh, I guess in this day and age, that should be amended to something like, You took the words right from my keyboard?). Anyhow, I too was so impressed by the action shots. I just can’t figure out how Robyn does it: feather teaser in one hand, camera in the other, and somehow she manages to get incredible action shots that are IN FOCUS!
      And I too laughed at the Shakespeare quote. That was BRILLIANT!
      [I might have to fight you, GD, for Catelyn…]
        Fred was, indeed, involved in these pictures. πŸ™‚
    I need more coffee to keep up with these kittehs… I – at first glance (and second, I admit it!)- thought the tandem sister jumping was actually a miraculous capture of the pool game we used to play when you get on another’s shoulders… Yes, I honestly, until I got my glasses on and some coffee in me, thought there was a kitten on another kittens shoulders… still good shots all of them!!!! A great way to start the day! Is that pretty little Catelyn experiencing “The Rapture” just before Miss Vonnie leaping from the bed? Sooooo cute! Stefan has that “why’s everybody always pickin’ on me” look! Love him!
    Cute as always!!
    Question for you guys: Got the new kitten (Cali) who is now 18 weeks old. She is sneezy and seems to have a cold. No eye goop, and doesn’t seem to slow her down at all. At the shelter, the vet said that it was nothing to worry about, common in transitions – don’t worry unless she starts slowing down or getting eye goop. But it’s been a month, and seems to be getting slightly worse? Sneezier? Anyone experience this? Yes we will take her to the vet this weekend.
      if it isn’t getting better, then better to have it checked. like colds in people, antibiotics don’t help, but some rescues will use them to avoid secondary infections. you can try adding lysine to her food to boose her immune system. and yep….it is a kitten thing πŸ™‚
        November 12, 2014 at 10:38 am
        Sounds like Kennel Cough but she should’ve gotten better by now.
        Hopefully the vet will be able to nail this down.
        I’m assuming Cali is for Calico and not Kali, goddess of destruction and death? Of course it could be both. A beautiful calico who likes to gift you with ‘dead’ crickets and toys. I had one who used to kill kleenix.
        1. Grace says:
          November 12, 2014 at 8:47 pm
          Thanks you guys. We will get her to the vet Saturday. Cali is indeed for Calico but she’s a little tiger and would probably like the allusion to Goddes of Death!
    2. Connie says:
      November 12, 2014 at 2:20 pm
      eating, active, and happy, input and output, I tend not to worry. If it is getting obviously worse, then see a vet.. she will need to see a vet anyway to be established, so when you are ready you should probably get her in but I wouldn’t be in a rush..
    3. Robyn says:
      November 12, 2014 at 8:53 pm
      Yeah, I’m with Connie – if she’s playing and happy then you don’t need to rush her to the vet, but since it’s getting worse then she does need to be seen.
      It could be a URI or allergies. Get her to the vet. I completely disagree with the statement “common in transitions”. I view that as a blow-off as they didn’t want you to NOT adopt the kitten.
    Would love to get some feedback from the L&H readership. I’m trying my hand at t-shirt designs. What I’ve been enjoying is designing t-shirts targeted at cat lovers, specifically, and animal lovers more generally. Would love to get your thoughts on this one as this is the first that’s actually an original (well, I took a well-known quote and added to it) and is targeted at Tortie-lovers: http://teespring.com/tortietude
    Thanks all! Charlene
    Stefan’s pic: Worried kitty is worried. Wish I was artsy enough and computer savvy enough to know how to add those words to the side of that pic.
    I too love that boy, even more so because of how he came to be part of the Permanent Residents of Crooked Acres.
