How long do the fever coats usually last, do you know?
I’m not sure how long until they’re gone completely (I’ve heard by six months), but by the time they’re adopted (at 3 months), they’re usually mostly gone.

Have they tried to get on the wall shelves yet?
and
I was just wandering the same thing. Is the long shelf gone?
The long shelf is still there – they’ve just started going up and checking out the shelves and beds. I got a few pics of them, see below!

I was on Amazon looking for some new catnip bananas and saw these!!! Given Fred’s proficiency for writing amazing horror novels, these seem right up his alley!
HA – I think we might need those!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Speaking of Fred’s horror novels, he’s got a new one out! Check out Scattered here – you can get the Kindle version, or the paperback version. Now, listen: WHEN I TELL YOU IT IS HORROR, I MEAN THAT IT IS HORROR. It is not for the faint of heart, and please, please do not let the children read it. (And if you take exception with anything in the book, take it up with Fred. I’m just letting y’all know it’s available. Also, you can see all his novels here.)
Lilia watches Patsy jump up after the dangly mouse.
Then she takes a swing at it herself.
And checks out her look in the mirror.
I went into their room late last night to put something away, and found all three kittens in the wall beds. Owen moved too fast for me to get a picture of all three of them up there (he was in the top one with Nolan), but Patsy and Nolan just sat and blinked at me.
Churu time! (It looks like Patsy’s having some existential angst.)
Lilia was on this cat tree alone. I went to take her picture, and I think the kittens were under the impression there might be some Churu going on, so had to come see what was going on.
I wish Charlie (left) and Alice could coexist peacefully like this all the time!
Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr/ Bluesky) yesterday.
Happy Thlurrrpsday, from Lilia & Nolan.
“I don’t understand what she means by ‘It’s not Churu time.’ What does that MEAN?!” (Lilia & Owen)
What you need to understand is that the FIRST time Patsy FLUNG herself off the desk, it was a surprise to me. The SECOND time, we had just spent five minutes with me literally PICKING her up from the desk and putting her on the litter container, and then picking her up from the litter container and putting her on the floor. And then she successfully hopped from the desk to the litter container and then to the floor TWICE, so that’s what I expected her to do again. BUT NOPE. That girl is gonna be trouble.
“Meowdy.” That red cowboy hat really suits Nolan, doesn’t it?
I got the dangly mouse toy out and hung it up (it’s a rattly mouse on a bungee cord, basically), and I’d say it was a hit.
“What’s she doing now?”
“Looking at us.”
“Why’s she always looking at us?”
“‘Cause we’re awesome.”
“Oh, right.”
