Rum and Kate keep an eye on themselves in the mirrors.

I looked away, and when I looked back Kate was giving Rum the ol’ slapperoo. (I 100% believe he deserved it.)

Rum, starting something with Reverb.

Kate, in charge of Neighborhood Watch, reports that there are a lot of birds out there. (We’ve had a ton of Grackles moving through lately – and did you know that a flock of Grackles is commonly referred to as a plague? That cracks me up.)

Reverb’s all “Watchin’ you, lady.”

In lieu of a permanent resident pic, how about a few random non-cat-related pics instead?

On the bird feeder outside my office window. I don’t know that I’d seen this type of bird before, so had to find out what it was. I’m not sure what I expected a female Red-winged Blackbird to look like, but I expected… maybe a red wing? In any case, she’s a pretty one.

Hellebore/Lenten Rose in bloom. I got this one from Trader Joe last year and planted it in the ground, and it’s done so well that this year I bought several more. I love these flowers.

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr/ Bluesky) yesterday.

If you missed it in the blog this morning: Ollie has returned to Michelle’s house (Michelle is who I foster under.) He still has an upper respiratory infection, and in the last few days stopped taking his antibiotic. Fred and I are NOT skilled enough to get a pill (let alone liquid) into him; Michelle’s much better at it, so back he went. Hopefully he’ll kick the upper respiratory infection quickly and can rejoin the gang here soon!

🎉 Former foster Rupert (formerly Richie)! His brother Pippin was at the water bowl, so he got some water from the sink instead. And snuggled up to Sharon, waiting for her to finish work. What a gorgeous (and did I mention sweet?) boy! (Thanks, Sharon!)

Today’s Rumdangle wants none of your nonsense.

Kate is starting to hang out in (and on) that wall cubby more and more. I’m glad she’s enjoying it!

Is it just me, or does the white blotch on Reverb’s chest look like a cat’s head?

Your Rocco The Freeloader has inspired me. I have a couple freeloaders from next door who come to help themselves to breakfast and supper when I feed my outside gang. I call the girl Little Girl because, well, she is petite. The boy I’ve just been calling Freeloader but now I’m going to start calling him Rocco!
Rocco approves. 😀
Not just you. Reverb’s chest blotch does indeed look like a cat’s head. Although I can’t tell if it’s attached to a spine or if it’s attached directly to a tail. Or maybe a lollipop stick for easy kisses.
Deb just posted a comment saying that it looks like a wine glass, and now that’s what I’m seeing!
As if Reverb wasn’t already at the top of the cute scale, that SuperCat badge on his chest is just too darling! What a great photo.
He is a total sweetheart for sure.
Haha, I thought you were gonna say the blotch looks like a wine glass!!! Party on, Reverb baby!!!
It DOES look like a wine glass, now that you mention it!
<3
The grackle flock name is not one that I had known; interesting. The names for groups of birds are often so peculiar! Someday I want my full-time job to be looking up this kind of thing and doing deep dives into etymology. Now, who can I get to pay me handsomely for this endeavor…?
😀 😀 😀
*pets the kitties* <3 Now I'm thinking again -(pauses for half the blog readership to say uh-oh). Mr. Ollie Tolliver Olivier Super Raritykitty* going back (hopefully briefly!) to Michelle's for meds made me wonder about Oakley the scared silver tabby who also went back there at one point, possibly for meds but not necessarily so, or not for only that reason. I know he was part of the litter that included Stapler, Paperclip and that whole delightful crew. How is he now, do you know? Did he get un-scaredy? Did he get adopted?
*Sorry about the ever-expanding elaborated name. I know I hold zero official name sway; just having fun with it. Ditto with Katie the Kitty Kalispell Taraji. Some future cat of mine's probably going to get a mile-long name. 😛
