Last I heard, Ollie is improving. I have no idea when he’ll be ready to rejoin the others.

Regarding when these guys will be available for adoption:

Ollie is available now – he’s through FIP monitoring, just needs to get over his upper respiratory stuff. Kate ends monitoring on March 22nd, so she’s pretty much available now too.

Reverb ends FIP meds on March 31st and will need to be monitored for 12 weeks. (He could probably be adopted before the monitoring time is through, depending on the adopter. That would be a discussion for potential adopters to have with Michelle.)

Rum ends FIP meds on May 5th because it took us a while to get to the right dose for him, so we’re extending how long he’s on the meds, just to be safe. Then he’ll need to be monitored for 12 weeks. (He could probably be adopted before the monitoring time is through also, depending on the adopter. Again, that would be a discussion for potential adopters to have with Michelle.)

Anyone interested in adopting can email Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at INFO (at) FFHSV.ORG or fill out an online application here.

Reverb’s all “Hallo, lady.”

Kate and Reverb LOVE LOVE LOVE the Da Bird teaser. (Da Bird, made by Go Cat, Petco link for reference.)

There goes Reverb.

And Kate!

Kate got it! (Check out the Rumdangle back there.)

I don’t remember what caused Reverb’s appalled look here, but it’s cracking me up.

Rum is not that interested in the Da Bird, he’s more of a fan of the feathers-on-a-stick teaser.

Reverb likes that one, too!

In lieu of a permanent resident picture, here are some other pictures from around Crooked Acre.

Squirrel says “Um, oh nothing. Just hanging out. Wasn’t going to go after those bird feeders, nope, I’d never.”

Female bluebird outside my office window.

And Chickadee outside my office window.

I have no pictures as proof, but it looks like we’ve got a couple of Carolina Wrens setting up a nest in one of the bird houses hanging from the front porch. It just so happens that it’s the exact same bird house where we had Bluebirds last year. I’m very excited about this turn of events; since we raised a Carolina Wren in 2023, every time we see one we assume it’s him/her (even though I’m sure it’s not) and Carolina Wrens have become one of my favorite birds. (Yes, I DO have a lot of favorite birds. What of it?)

“Kate,” I said. “That’s not a toy.” Judging by the look she gave me, I don’t think she believes me. (Countdown to when I walk into the room to find it knocked over onto the floor begins… NOW.)

🎉 Former fosters Amber (Ambercup, 2015) and Phoenix (2017) have claimed that quilting frame for a VERY comfy nap. Do they look content, or what? Quilting will have to wait for another day, I suppose! (Thanks, Debra!)

Throw Back Thursday: from 2021, while mama Canasta ate her lunch, I let Charlie in to sniff around. Then I (briefly) held out a kitten for him to sniff, and he was honestly more interested in the blanket he was sniffing (that smelled like kittens) than the actual kitten itself.

It’s a RumPieDangle! (My favorite!) 🥧

Throw Back Thursday: In 2019, I was supplementing the Half Pints kittens, and Mary was VERY CERTAIN that she wanted that dang bottle! (I tried to tell her she didn’t – because she’d already HAD her bottle – but I was clearly wrong.)

I was looking for something under the cabinet, and turned around to see Reverb patiently waiting for me to notice him. He is just the SWEETEST boy!

Good night innernets. (It’s a RumSnoozeDangle!)
