Thank you all so much for your kind words about Martini; I appreciate y’all so much!
The fosters have improved some, though some of them still sound rough. I think it’ll take more than one round of meds to knock out this crud, but at least they’re all improved SOME.
There are things I don’t think I’ve mentioned, so I’ll mention them now, in list form.
1. When I brought the Britty Bunch home earlier this year, I put 3 in each carrier to make getting them inside easier. NATURALLY one kitten pooped in each carrier and allllll the kittens walked through, rolled in, and otherwise interacted with said poop, and so the very first thing I had to do when I got home was give every single dang kitten a bath. So, new rule: 1 kitten/cat per carrier from here on out, at least when I’m picking them up. When I went to pick up the kittens at Michelle’s, I took 8 carriers with me. I just KNEW at least one kitten was going to poop or pee and that I’d have to give a bath (but at least ONE bath instead of 8 is much more tolerable.) But y’know what? Not a single kitten pooped or peed. It was a little bit of a Christmas miracle.
2. I’m calling these guys the Nightcaps. Y’all had some excellent suggestions (I was partial to Barflies), but I couldn’t decide so I made a list of all the suggestions and made Fred decided. Nightcaps it is!
3. I don’t think I mentioned this in the introductory post, but these guys came to me pre-named. (Otherwise I’d have given them all drink names. And would have avoided using Mimosa!)
4. I promise I will put together a collage of pictures so y’all can have a cheat sheet to refer to, so you’ll know who’s who. The two who are hardest to tell apart are Spritz and Mimosa, which is why Spritz is wearing the purple collar. BUT she’s a floofy girl, so half the time I can’t even see it! I’m hoping to get some really good straight-on pictures of them all this weekend, fingers crossed.

Fizz says “Rawr! I’m a llama!”

Fizz (on the back of the couch) and Spritz. These guys are using the wall shelves and beds, and I am VERY pleased about that.

Rum LOVES to lie in the pie plate (or boxes, or the basket, or pretty much anything) with his front paws flopped over the side. I want to squeeze him every time he does it. (PS: Rum pie! My favorite!)

Reese, being floofily gorgeous.

Whiskey juuust out of my reach.

Mimosa having some existential angst, with Rum looking on.

Reese in the window, and Reverb on the floor, strolling about.

I think the Nightcaps is a great group name!
thank you for the “Throwback” views. Really enjoyed the memories.
It didn’t seem right to say this in the comments to the post about sweet Martini, and then it was Christmas, but now I’ll say it. Rum, with the forever purr, the social first to greet people at the door thing, the loving to be pet and snuggled, and the being a goofball clown? Is a Labrador kitty! <3 I love labby cats. I am *delighted* every time I meet one.
Seriously, so very glad this whole crew are improving from the URI crud. The snuffly sneezies are zero fun for anyone, human, feline, or whoever.
