I hope you’re all having a wonderful (relaxing!), happy day. I cut and paste the following every year because although they are recycled words, they hold 100% true:

You guys are the best, and I appreciate you so very much. Thank you for coming back here to read and comment or lurk – and for some of you (so many of you!) for adopting kittens from us. It’s been a great, kind of crazy, and sometimes downright awful year, and I hope 2026 is a little calmer and a lot safer, with no losses for any of us.

I’d most likely keep this blog going even if no one was reading – I don’t know that I’d ever be able to remember when certain events happened without this handy blog to serve as my diary to be honest – but you guys make it so much better, so thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy Festivus – whatever holiday you celebrate (or don’t) I hope you are warm, happy, safe, healthy, and well-fed.

For the record, Rocco was actually IN that wreath – I didn’t photoshop him IN it. I cropped, lightened, airbrushed and added light trails, but the basic underlying image was there to start with. AND I did it all myself, painstakingly, taking far too much time.

Cardboard box with a piece of posterboard attached to the front, and the wreath wired on. An incredibly annoying pain in the behind, but totally worth it.
