12-25-18 Merry Christmas!

I hope everyone’s having a wonderful holiday. I say this every year and it continues to hold true – you guys are the best, and I appreciate you so very much. Thank you for coming back here to read and comment or lurk – and for some of you (a lot of you at this point!) for adopting kittens from us. It’s been a great, kind of crazy, and sometimes sad year, and I hope 2019 is a little calmer (but not TOO calm) with no losses for any of us.

I’d most likely keep this blog going even if no one was reading, but you guys make it so much better, so thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy Festivus – whatever holiday you celebrate (or don’t) I hope you are warm, happy, safe, and well-fed.

This year’s cover boy for the holiday card was…

Said the night wind to the little lamb…

“Dewey hear what I hear?” We hope you have a warm, safe, happy holiday season and a wonderful 2019 with no terrible puns involved.

Dewey! Since he’s been a brat and avoids the camera, I had to totally photoshop (well, PicMonkey) the picture. I think it came out kind of cute, if I’m allowed to say that.

I hope everyone who wanted a card received theirs. I sent the last batch out on Saturday morning, so if you haven’t received yours yet, it’s on the way.

I’ve scanned every card I’ve received so far – you can see the album over at Flickr, or scroll through them below. I will, of course, add any more that I receive as I get them.

  2. Merry Christmas, Robyn and Fred and ALLLLLLL the kitties, large and small! You all make my every day brighter and smilier. Thanks for all you do.

  3. Thank YOU for making me smile everyday. Many of us say it, and it really is no exaggeration, but Love & Hisses is often our first stop of the day, right up there with coffee and feeding our own kitties.

May you all have a safe and Merry Christmas, and I just know that Santa Paws made a stop at Shaddy Cove last night.

    • Pawsome way to say it Brigitte….it might be stupid but you are exactly correct, actually everyone’s comment.

  4. Merry Christmas to you and your family! Wishing all good things in the life of a foster/rescuer! Thank you for being a bright light in an often dim world!!

  5. Merry Christmas to ya’ll!!! Yes, I have not like the last 57 days, but what do you do????

Your post is the first thing that I look at each morning, THANK YOU AND FRED VERRY MUCH,,,,,

And PS, I love seeing all the cards from the past (sniff) and also the cards folks send you!

  7. Merry Christmas Robyn, Fred, and kitties! We love your posts and “funny going ons!” Thank you for making our world a happier place. Can’t wait to see what kind of surprises and kitties 2019 will bring!

  8. Merry Christmas to ya’ll and the kitties! Gosh, your blog is one of the brightest spots, always cheers me up. Nothing like seeing the kitten antics, and then them going off the loving homes.

  9. So much fun to look at your past Christmas cards—I remember most of them as I’ve been reading your blog and trading cards with you for at least 14 years but it’s nice to see them all together and remember again each of the well-loved subjects. I hope to see Khal one year in his own card—he is certainly a most handsome boy and would look beautiful draped in some lights! Merry Christmas Robyn and family!

  10. It’s so great that you do wht you do in all the ways you do it Robyn. Of all the past kitties, I think I miss Dennis the most. May they all be having a big party wherever they are too! <3

  11. Merry Christmas and all the best in the New Year to you, Robyn, and Fred, and all the cats and kittens at Shady Cove – as well as everyone at Challenger’s House and Forgotten Felines! Thank you all for all you do! I loved this year’s card and all past cards – – I also enjoy scrolling through those you’ve received – sooooo beautiful! I can assure you that there are a few more on the way – – mine, for one… just could not get it together this year! I’m looking forward to another year of starting my days with you and all the Shady Cove Shenanigans!!!! Happiest of Holiday Seasons!!!

  12. A very happy Christmas to you, Robyn, Fred, and your brood. I’ll confess that many of these photos made me tear up as well. Owing to your wonderful, witty, and evocative accounts, captions, and images, your kitties who are no longer with us are etched into my heart. As always, thank you for including us in your world. Xx

  13. I save all the Christmas cards that I have received (not all the way back) and look at them during the year. I get so much pleasure from them. Thank you !!

  14. Merry Christmas to you! I’ve gotten a Christmas card every year since 2004 except this year! I submitted my name & address this year too, but Santa did not deliver a card. I had a stroke June 2016 and my caregiver is typing this for me. Looking at Love & Hisses is the highlight of my day. I lost the ability to read because of my Stroke, but I can look at the pictures. Take care of your self & God Bless You!!!!! Hat to show an Email addy but I can’t use it any more.

  15. Thank you for making this world a better place for kittens, cats, and humans! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and yours!

  16. Hi Robyn: I mailed my card to you last week on Tuesday. I thought it would surely get from Illinois to Alabama by now, but I guess not. As they say, it is the thought that counts. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from all the furry critters and humans in residence.
