Gooood morning! Would you like to say hello to the new fosters? Of course you would! Here they are…
Rum. Boy. White with a brown tabby tail and a brown tabby spot on one side. He is the first to greet you at the door, NEVER stops purring, and is a total clown.
Martini. Boy. Brown tabby and white. He’s a little more laid-back than Rum, but also has a ready purr and likes to be petted.
Fizz. Boy. Medium hair white with a floofy brown tabby tail and brown tabby angel wings. He’s more nervous and skittish, tends to hide behind the couch, but he’s coming around.
Mimosa. Girl. Medium hair brown tabby and white with a FABULOUSLY floofy tail. She’s a nervous, skittish little scaredy cat, but she wants to be friends. She’ll nervously approach, then run off and watch me from a distance. (Yes, we’ve had a Mimosa before. I didn’t name these guys!)
Spritz. Girl. Medium hair brown tabby and white with a FABULOUSLY floofy tail. Total twin to Mimosa, but much friendlier. You can’t see it in this picture, but she’s got a purple collar on.
Rum, Martini, Fizz, Mimosa and Spritz all came from a hoarding situation. I don’t know if they’re all from the same litter – the girls are larger than the boys – but they are definitely related in some fashion if they’re not.
OH BUT WE’RE NOT DONE YET.
Whiskey. Boy. Classic brown tabby. I’d say he’s the most skittish of the bunch, but can be lured out with toys and food.
Reese. Girl. Floofy white with a fabulous tail. Friendly when she wants to be. You just sit and wait for her to decide it’s time for petting. She’s a total goofball and VERY playful.
Reverb. Boy. Brown tabby with white feet and a white stripe up his nose. He doesn’t feel well.

Did you count eight kittens? Good, because that’s what we’ve got!
I don’t know the back story for Whiskey, Reese and Reverb (they’re not related to each other), but that’s okay. They’re here with us now! They’ve all got some upper respiratory crud going on (Reverb’s got it the worst), and they’re on meds. Hopefully they kick it soon. They’re all right around 6 months old.
I look forward to getting to know them – and y’all getting to know them too!

6 of the 8 (Mimosa was behind the couch and Reverb was in the cat tree by the window behind me.) In the top of that cat tree is Martini, below him is Fizz, in the center of the picture are Reese and Whiskey, nearby is Spritz, and that blur over to the right is Rum.

Given the mix of names, I’m not entirely sure what I’m going to call this litter as a collective. I’m thinking of the Apertifs, Fred suggested the Motley Crew, but I am open to suggestions!

Former fosters Fancy (formerly Flamenco) and Mambo are such lapcats! After a full day of demanding treats, terrorizing the Christmas decorations (and occasionally their mom and dad!), it’s time to sleep it off. I sure wish they could relax. 😉 (Thanks Fred/Lisa!)

The Partiers or the Hardy Party or something like that? The NYE’s (for New Years Eve). Drinks plus music is what I see. Reese is an outlier, but candy fits with parties.

What a delightful group of newcomers. I admit my first instinct on a group name was the politically incorrect, and a bit, if unintentionally, rude “Drunks” but then I thought of “Lounge Lizards.” But I’m sure you’ll pick something better.
AWWWW, you have yourself a houseful of delightful tabbies! <3 And one white fluffball! I've got the extra warm fuzzies where tabbies are concerned lately (I think I must be missing the kitty I met and befriended in Ireland a year and a half ago, or something) so squeeeee! XD
All I can think of, between the name Reverb and all the drinks, is the Drunken DJ Collective or, to namedrop a pirate radio station that is absolutely out there on shortwave (and is very applicable to its actual operators when it hits the airwaves, by the sound of things during broadcasts) Drunken DJ Radio! Or hmmm… the Fuzzy House Party?
These kittens, though. I imagine hanging out with them gives one a happy glow, no booze required!
