Wee Tony in the sun. Although, I weighed them yesterday and guess who’s a mere ounce under two pounds? Is our little man growing up? I think he is!

Meadow in the sun.

Tony biting a kicker toy whilst having his belly rubbed by Fred. And Carmela casually looking in the other direction as she slowwwwly reaches out to smack Tony.

Adriana refusing to look in my direction, no matter how much I try to catch her attention. BRAT.

Yes, Paulie Walnuts does have a boo boo right below his bottom lip. I guess maybe he’ll learn not to bite his sister in the butt (I think he’ll actually never learn that lesson.)

She is killing me with that wide-eyed “What?” look while Adriana’s back there all “Mama, your TOES are in my EYEBALL.”

Silvio just loves to curl up in that basket and take a bath.

He is such a pretty boy (Silvio again.)

Snuggly sisters (Carmela on the left, Melfi on the right. There’s also a small stuffed sock monkey doll in there, which Carmela is mostly covering.)

Tony, contemplating.

Paulie Walnuts goes for the sympathy, showing off his boo boo.

Meadow feels zero sympathy for Paulie. In fact, she thinks maybe he needs another smack to the face.

Newt, smoldering in the sun.

I am a sucker for the runt of the litters. I love Tony, so cute. Do you tend to baby the smallest more, I know sometimes small can be tough.

Awww….kisses to Paulie’s little boo boo lip!

My Trixie was the runt of her litter – half the size of her siblings and very subdued when I found them. I babied her all the time, letting her eat in my lap so the other kittens wouldn’t scarf up her food, and scooping her up when the other kittens got too rough. Result? She loves me more adamantly than any of my other cats but is spoiled as heck and a hissy terror to the others! Now I wish I had let her siblings beat up on her more. It may have made her more tolerant towards my newer cats Tuxie and Sabrina. πŸ™‚

I hate to admit it, but I probably do baby Tony more than the others. Though don’t get me wrong – I’ll snatch up, snuggle and kiss any kitten I can reach, but if I feel like Tony’s being picked on by his bigger siblings, I might tend to step in and separate them a little more quickly. I can’t help it! He’s da bayyyybeeeeee! πŸ™‚

I baby my Pandora too. She was the runt, and a sickly one (had to take her to the vet for subcutaneous injection, and fed her baby food for what seemed like ages) who always needed warm and snuggles… and now she’s 15 (as of tomorrow), and she’s a most demanding ladycat. She still needs lots of snuggles, every day.

Wow – That picture of Newt is mindblowing – you can see the profile of a cat in the shadow on his face. What a sweetie!

OK…I am now trying to talk myself down from getting in my car and heading your way, Robyn. Adriana gets more beautiful every day. And she’s not a brat, she would tell you; she’s a TORTIE! And her tortiude is classic!

Does she have a best friend, ie: if someone were to adopt her and wanted two kittens (because two is twice as nice), who would you pair her with? Are there any other natural purrsonality pairs? Inquiring minds want to know!

By the way, I am stunned by Fred’s theory that Stefan and Stompers may be brothers! (See Stefan’s permanent page for those who have no clue what I am talking about.) Do you see the possibility, Robyn?

    1. Robyn says:
      November 5, 2013 at 11:18 am

The pairings I’ve noticed among the Sopranos are Paulie Walnuts and Silvio, and Paulie Walnuts and Meadow. Tony and Carmela really love to snuggle up to sleep (which is funny!), and Adriana and Melfi usually tend to be in the same general vicinity, whether they’re snoozing or playing.

And of course, everyone loves Mama. πŸ™‚

I hadn’t noticed that profile of a cat on Newt’s face. How neat!

      1. GD says:
        November 5, 2013 at 11:54 am

I would adopt Pauli and Meadow!!!! *sigh*

    2. Robyn says:
      November 5, 2013 at 12:36 pm

And I meant to say that I don’t really see a resemblance (appearance-wise or behavior-wise) between Stompers and Stefan (I mean, aside from them being being awesome, obviously). Fred just thinks that Stefan’s the right age to be from the same litter, and he could be right!

  3. Kar says:

I wish that I were one of your kittens. Spending my days snoozing in the sun, biting my siblings’ butts, getting petted and cleaned by mama.

No mad scramble getting to work on time, no dealing with hypercritical management, no ‘check engine’ lights to worry about….

Life is so hard for these guys.

    1. GD says:
      November 5, 2013 at 9:55 am

My friends have always said that if they are reincarnated, they want to come back as one of my cats. A male friend said that he wanted to come back as a cat because all the cats he knows are owned by beautiful women who feed them crab and lobster! πŸ™‚

      1. SC Amy says:
        November 5, 2013 at 11:50 am

That’s funny! The receptionist at my vet’s office (she’s known me for over 20 years) says she wants to come back as one of my cats. And ironically, I was letting them eat leftover crab dip with me last night! πŸ˜‰

        1. GD says:
          November 5, 2013 at 11:57 am

          Need I say more! πŸ˜‰

By the way, my cats L-O-V-E snow crab. My huband thought he could fool them by buying immitation crabmeat (since it is cheaper)! (Silly man) I told him that they would know! He scoffed at me. Emma gave him a look that said, “Do you REALLY think we are that stupid??”

          1. Kar says:
            November 5, 2013 at 2:33 pm

And I thought I spoiled my cats.

            Three rules of my house:

            1. Don’t hurt mommy
            2. The cats can’t have bigger or more expensive furniture than me.
            3. They don’t get better food than me. the vet once gave me a diet food recipe that called for fresh spinach. I don’t get fresh spinach, I’m not grinding it up and giving it to my cats!

      2. Carol says:
        November 5, 2013 at 12:26 pm

I’ve always said I wanted to come back as one of my own cats. Because why should the time continuim matter for reincarnation.

        1. GD says:
          November 6, 2013 at 5:15 am

          I full agree!!!

  4. Kirsten says:

Checked out the permanent resident pages for the first time-do you still call Maxi “Tony Soprano” as a nickname? Very confusing now that you have an actual Tony Soprano in the house. πŸ˜‰
And Norbs is immortalized in the melting Stefan photo! Can’t wait to see the Sopranos interacting with the permanent residents-that’s my favorite time.

    1. Robyn says:
      November 5, 2013 at 11:31 am

Ha – I had forgotten that we used to call her that! She’s still got the flat, dead eyes, but we haven’t called her that in a while.

That picture of Stefan melting out of the condo with Norbie next to him is one of my favorites! It’s like Norbie pushed a seat up so he could watch the show. πŸ™‚

This is the weekend when we’re going to start letting them have a little more room to roam, so it won’t be long before they’re stampeding around the house floofing and hisses and then making friends. (Though there might be something a little special in tomorrow’s post!)

  5. sourpuss says:
    November 5, 2013 at 11:41 am

If you look sideways at the picture of Tony with the kicker toy (so that it’s right-side up, if you know what I mean?) it’s even funnier!

Also, I totally lol’d at the pic of Mama putting her feetz in her baby’s face!

  6. Delaney says:

I wish I could snuggle all the kittens, and save them all. I don’t know how to gracefully say this or even why I want to share aside from the obvious hope that it will make me feel better. (And I’m sorry for the sad post.)

After going through the whole drama with Chloe not too long ago, her brother Clive died this morning in an accident. He was a manx tuxie, slightly goofy, and always ready for attention. He’d come up to you and place a paw on your arm. If that didn’t get him petted, he’d move it a little, looking for the right spot. If that didn’t work, he’d switch paws. He could sometime drive me up a wall (which makes me feel guilty to remember), but I am grateful for the time I had with him. It was just too short.

He was one of a little of five, all of whom I adopted after they were found in an outdoor shed. I hope he knew how much I loved him.

      November 5, 2013 at 12:37 pm

I am so sorry to hear about Clive. Of course he could drive you up a wall sometimes, that’s part of a cat’s responsibility! But I guarantee beyond the shadow of a doubt that he know how much you loved him. He is at the Rainbow Bridge bragging about you to his new friends already.

    2. Robyn says:
      November 5, 2013 at 12:38 pm

Oh Delaney, I’m so so sorry for your loss.

I bet he knew exactly how much you loved him, and I bet he also knew how lucky he was to have been yours. ::hugs::

I’m so sorry to hear about Clive. A big cyber hug for you and for Chloe.

Oh no! But of course you can share that here! We all know, love, and sadly have lost, wonderful cats and understand your sorrow. Hugs to you and Chloe, and purrs to Clive at the Bridge! :'(

OH Delaney, I am so sorry to hear about Clive.. Purrs for you and all who loved him during this difficult time.

    8. Delaney says:
      November 5, 2013 at 7:22 pm

Thank you all for the kind words. Now that the sudden shock has faded some, I’ve been trying to remember all the good things with and about Clive. Looking at pictures reminds me that he did have a good life, if a way too short one. I’m going to cuddle with the others this evening.

Odd thing for someone who loves foster kitten blogs, but I generally don’t like to post pictures of my own cats. Clive deserves to be remembered, though. He’s in the middle, with his brother Clyde on the left and sister Chloe on the right.

What a beautiful boy! I’m partial to tuxies who have white-stripes where the angels kissed their nosies (I have two myself). I know that nose is getting many new angel kisses now. Always remember that you both were lucky to have found each other!

hey – I was going to make a crack about the “halloween cat” in the header, but I replied to another comment and the header changed….. LOL

Love that pic of Carmela and Tony…apparently if you are LOOKING at the guy you are about to smack, it can’t possibly be YOU doing the smacking. πŸ™‚

    Kiss Paulie for me…..

While you are at it, also give one to Meadow for me and tell Paulie that half of his kiss was from me!
