Is this the first time we’ve had a mother be adopted before the kittens?
It’s not, but I couldn’t tell you how many mamas were adopted before their kittens. Some day I’ll go back through my list of mamas and figure it out!

I love the picture of baby bear patsy. She does look like a little baby bear and it is adorable. It should definitely be in the favorite pictures.
I’ve added it to the favorite pics page!

Rocco is allowed upstairs? He might as well just move in! But it’s interesting how the kittens reacted differently to him that to Charlie and Khal.
Sometimes in his mosey from the far end of the house to the garage, he likes to go off-course. Fred (who always accompanies him) came upstairs with him, and Rocco only stayed for a couple of minutes. I’m sure if it wasn’t for Charlie and Khal’s unending hatred for Rocco, he’d have already moved in.

Nolan sharpening his claws in preparation for makin’ trouble.
Patsy in the sun, slowly meltinggggg.
Owen’s all “Come on, guys! Let’s get organized!” (But alas Nolan and Patsy were not on board for that.)
Nolan’s lounging in the scratcher, and Owen and Patsy are all “We wanna lay in the scratcher too!”

Garden pics!
Eastern Swallowtail butterfly. That purply-blue on the lower part of its wings is just so pretty.
Crescent Pearl butterflies. The striped antennae are so cool!
Hummingbird moth. I think they’ve moved along – I haven’t seen them in a several days.
Hummingbird, loading up. We have two hummingbird feeders at the back of the house, two on the front porch, and these two, and they’re all getting a lot of use lately. I could sit for hours and watch them chase each other off from the feeders!

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr/ Bluesky) yesterday.
Patsy finds this shelf acceptable.
Nolan is an EXCELLENT laundry assistant, and now that the laundry’s done, he’s going to take a little nap.

Patsy’s wearing her crazy pants – she’s cracking me up, skittering back and forth across the top of that cabinet. (Also, Owen clearly needs to work on his upper body strength.)
What an organized bunch! (From left: Nolan, Owen, Patsy!)
Owen fits perfectly in that little crate.
Patsy still loves the fruitasan (and looks good in it!)
Throw Back Thursday: From 2019, when we fostered Margeaux and Katriane and their various kittens. This picture of Margeaux, 3 month old kitten Francois (left) and 1 month old kitten Beauregard is one of my favorites. And the picture of Katriane (left) giving Margeaux an ear-cleaning is another of my favorites. (Margeaux is now Elfie and Katriane is Neko; they were adopted together, and you can see them on Instagram @keepingtabbies where they are livin’ the life!)
