Uncle Charlie has been upstairs to check out the kittens a few times in recent days, and the kittens’ reactions tend to go like this…
Nolan spots the intruder and immediately floofs up.
He follows the intruder.
Patsy freezes, floofs, and stays where she is, keeping an eye on the goings-on.
Owen, who has NO IDEA there’s a stranger in the room, floofs up in reaction to Patsy. He’s all “YOU TALKIN’ TO ME?!”
Nolan stares in utter disbelief that the stranger has entered the closet where the litter boxes are located.
The strangers leaves the room to check out the food plate, and Nolan and Patsy follow… while Owen (lower left) is all “What’re they doing over there?”
And then the stranger asks to go back downstairs.
Later that same day…
Nolan spots and floofs, Patsy floofs and freezes.
Nolan, still floofed, is all “Mister, who told you you can keep entering my OWN PRIVATE DOMICILE?”
Charlie, walking around and sniffing things.
“That floofy kid ain’t foolin’ around.”
“Who does this guy think he IS?”
“Something going on?” Owen was hanging out in the Fruitasan, on the other side of the room, completely oblivious the entire time.
A very quick visit from Uncle Khal. Nolan said “NO!”, Khal said “I’d like to go back downstairs, please.”
But then, yesterday morning, Rocco (who, I am sure, could smell the kitten food from the bottom of the stairs), came up to say hi.
Patsy greeted him! Sniffed him. Said “Oh, hi.” Did she know Rocco was a stranger? I dunno!
Owen gave Rocco the ol’ snifferoo and then went back to what he was doing. (To be fair, I was in the middle of changing the sheets on my bed, so the dirty sheets were on the floor, and that was very exciting for Owen.)

Listen, I don’t wanna be too picky here, but when you load up your toast with a Patsy AND an Owen, it’s just going to fall off all over your plate as soon as you take the first bite and make a big ol’ mess.
🎉 Former foster Cosmos (formerly Monty) and his big sister Marigold, keeping Mom company. And then (later), Cosmos and Dahlia (formerly Hazel) are SO ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE as they occupy Violet (the dog)’s bed. (Poor Violet. But CUTE kittens!) Thanks, Tabatha!

Owen’s having a GOOD time with that three-level track toy, and Nolan, Patsy and I are just enjoying the shenanigans.
Nolan and Patsy, hanging out in the donut tunnel. Where they’ve NEVER hung out before, and which necessitated 10 minutes of me trying to figure out where they were. Thanks for the cardio, kids.
