Margarita LOVES these toys. I don’t know what they’re called, but I call ’em Twirlydoos. (Okay, I went and looked. They’re Whisker City Spring Toys which, I mean. Was Captain Boring in charge of naming toys that day? That is clearly a Twirlydoo.)
(And apparently a Twirlydoo is a poisonous perennial plant found in the southwestern United States. Still a good toy name, and you won’t convince me otherwise.)
“Is it time for a nap yet?” Sebastian wants to know.
Mid-tussle, Sebastian stopped to clean his leg while Margarita impatiently waited.
Sebastian and Margarita are off for their spay/neuters today! I expect we’ll be home by early afternoon, ready for a long nap.

Lilia LOVES a good belly rub. And it’s not a trap – even if she gets overwhelmed and grabs your hand, she doesn’t use her claws (which I very much appreciate.) She’s such a good girl!
“Hmm. I never finished my lunch,” Lilia remembers.
And off she goes. (Kittens, from left: Owen, Nolan, Patsy.)
Patsy in the crate. All three are leaving the crate with no problem now – and sometimes they go back in!
Nolan checks the structural integrity of the crate while Lilia schemes.
Poor Nolan – victim of the ol’ drive-by lickeroo!
Three kittens in a row (kind of.) From left: Nolan, Owen, Patsy.

Khal wonders when the cooler weather is gonna get here. (Just kidding – he loooves the hot weather. That makes one of us!)

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr/ Bluesky) yesterday.
Sebastian and Margarita aren’t always joined at the hip, but they ALWAYS know where the other one is!
🎉 Former fosters 🎉 Arlo (formerly Nigel) and Emmylou (formerly Matilda) are just the CUTEST. (And I love how huggy they are with each other!) (Thanks, Bethany!)

Owen’s got places to GO (which is why his nickname is now “Go-Go.”)
Two girls and their bellies. (It looks like Lilia can’t stand how cute Patsy is, and is about to grab and squeeze her. That cute aggression will get you every time!)

Margarita chases a fly (she’s our resident fly chaser. She doesn’t necessarily CATCH them, but she gives a good chase). Then I shoot discs for the kittens to chase, and Sebastian shows off his fetching skills.
They love this box. (And both Margarita and Sebastian are giving me the “You weren’t invited to this meeting” eyes.)
🎉 Former fosters Jethro (formerly Spock, 2023) and Elly May (Janeway) are 2 today! Tammy says: “I can’t believe it’s been two years already and they still bring me joy (sometimes a headache 🤪) They are the rulers of the roost and spoiled rotten. New beds for each but snuggling together is nice too. Elly May made a new friend outside and we had an explosion of Jethro pie. ” Happy birthday, babies! 🎂 (Thanks, Tammy!)
I LOVE that they still snuggle!

I’m so happy that many of your adopters provide updates and current pictures. It’s very appreciated.
Updates are lovely, thanks!
Nolan’s hairdos kill me.
As for Khal and loving the hot weather, one of my feral clowder is a floofy lynx point cat who does NOT love the heat. If it’s over 100, we don’t see her until after dark. Given all that floof, I am not surprised.
Love the updates.
Thank you Tammy and Bethany!
Clearly, Captain Boring (CB) was merely a fill-in for the official toy namer that day. CB likely was from accounting. lol! In my head, I can hear the “boing!” animated sound from cartoons that Twirlydoos make as they bounce around.
